Coaches and Directors
Coach Janine will lead the Dolphins this year at the Interim Head Coach. She started competing at age 4 and loves all aspects of swimming – whether it is competing, coaching, teaching lessons or open water racing. Over the years, she has coached all levels but loves the Dolphin swimmers the very best. Janine loves helping people improve their technique and achieve their personal bests! Before becoming a full-time mom and swim coach, Janine was a Deputy Probation Officer with the County of Sacramento for 11 years. During her career in Law Enforcement she competed in the Western States Police and Fire Games in swimming in six different games, winning several gold medals. She is very happy that her two boys love swimming!
Coach Liz has been involved in the aquatic community for 20 years. Liz holds a Master of Education and Curriculum Design, a B.S. in Kinesiology, a secondary education teaching credential, and an adapted physical education teaching credential. Liz finds great joy in her work and remains dedicated to watching athletes grow their confidence, accomplish their goals, and develop a passion for the sport. Liz currently teaches P.E. at Del Campo and joined the Del Norte Dolphins coaching staff in fall 2023. Liz looks forward to continuing her involvement in this community and coaching an exciting summer season.
