Coaches and Directors
I have been a member of the Langley Wildthings since the age of 8, and have been coaching for Langley since the age of 16. I am very excited to return to the club as a coach again this summer- this will be my 20th year as a Wildthing!
I attended the University of Virginia where I studied History and Government-- with a concentration in American Catholic History during the 19th Century. I graduated from UVA's Curry School of Education with a Masters in Teaching with an endorsement in High School History. While in Charlottesville, I coached two different swim teams: The Albemarle High School Swim Team and the Virginia Gators of Charlottesville. Currently, I coach for the Fairfax Foxes and the West Springfield High School Swim and Dive Team, where I also teach History.

I began swimming my freshman year of high school in Virginia Beach in 2004. That summer I joined the Pembroke Meadows Marlins of the VBSL. I swam until graduating in 2007 and continued coaching the Marlins through this past summer. During college, I was president of the George Mason Swim Club and since graduation have been an age group/senior level coach at Tri-City Aquatics Club and currently with Machine Aquatics. If you have any questions about Langley, Machine Aquatics or private swim lessons please don't hesitate to contact through cell, text or email.
I have been a part of the Wildthing family for the past sixteen years, starting in Mini Wildthings when I was six years old. I love swimming and I can’t wait to be able to coach at the LC again this summer! The Wildthings have been so supportive over the years, and there is nothing more fun than summer swim team. Whether it be learn to swim as a child or an adult, or competitive technique work, I would love to swim with you!
I am a recent graduate of the Boston College Connell School of nursing school, where I also swam on the Varsity Swim Team. I formerly swam on the National Team for Machine Aquatics. I began swimming competitively for Machine at age eight. Throughout high school I qualified for States, was a Langley HS swim team captain, and was a two event qualifier for NCSA’s. I have been a coach for the Winter Wildthings program, as well as an assistant coach for the Wildthings the past four summers. Last year, I began working with Fitter and Faster, as an assistant elite clinician for their swim camps! This past year I had the honor of receiving the “Rookie clinician of the year” award. I am looking forward to coaching again this summer and cannot wait to see you all at the pool whether it be for practice, meets, or lessons!!
Beginning in August I will begin working in the INOVA Fairfax Pediatric Emergency Department! I am excited to have the opportunity to coach before doing so. I will be balancing studying for the nursing boards this summer, so please feel free to reach out to me if you can’t find a time that works for you or your swimmer. I would be more than happy to add additional times as needed!
