CCC Marlins - 2025 Swim Team Information

Swim Levels

Marlins
Swimmers range in age from 5 to 18 and are broken up into two-year categories (6U, 8U, 10U, etc.). A swimmers age is determined by the swimmers age as of June 15th of the current summer season. Throughout the swim season, the team participates in approximately 15 meets. In addition to practices and meets, there are a number of social activities that are held throughout the summer.  The swim season begins on April 21st and goes through August 3rd.  
 
Mini-Marlins
Our Mini Marlins, is open for children ages 3 - 6, who range from swimmers being willing to jump in alone and doggy paddle to attempting to complete a full lap of freestyle. Grouped by ability, these early level swim workouts are typically taught in a three to one (three children to one coach) format, with a coach in the water with the children at all times.  Mini Marlins is a non-competitive, fun program. The Mini’s season begins June 2nd and ends July 25th.  
 
Learn To Swim Program
For children ages 2-3, who are true beginners and are not Mini Marlin ready, we encourage our private “Learn to Swim” lessons with us. We will evaluate your child's level of ability, then provide basic instruction and technique to help the swimmer feel comfortable in the water. These private, one-on-one, lessons will be held from June 9th – July 25th.  Practice days would be Mon, Tues, Thurs. 
 
Assessments
If you are unsure of your child’s level, we offer assessments for the following levels
 
Marlins vs. Mini-Marlins - Saturday, April 12th   
 
Mini Marlins vs. Learn to Swim -  Saturday, May 3rd 
 

Swim Team Costs

Summer Swim Team
  • Marlins: $675 ($650 early bird)
  • Mini’s Program: $625 ($600 early bird) 
  • 15-18 Year olds: $325
  • Learn to Swim (HOA or Sibling only): $425
**Non-Campolindo please add $600 per family for guest fees**
 
Reminder for Non-HOA Families, Non-HOA swim team families will have use of the pool while the Cabana Club is open for operation (Early May - October 31st)
 
Additional Team Requirements not covered by the registration fee
Team Suits (not required for Mini’s)
CCC Swim Cap (not required for Mini’s)

Spring Clinic Schedule

** Must be able to complete 25Y Free and 25Y Back unassisted
 
Monday, March 10th to Thursday, April 17th 
Days of the Week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Cost for Spring Clinics: $250
 
Spring Clinic Practice Times:
  • 4:00 - 4:30 pm: Ages 8 & under
  • 4:30 - 5:10 pm: Ages 9-10’s
  • 5:10 - 6:00 pm: Ages 11 and up

Swim Team Preseason Practice Schedule (Begins Season)

Monday, April 21st to Thursday, May 29th 
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday practices- No Friday practice days) 
 
Preseason Practice Times: 
  • 4:00 - 4:30 pm: Ages 8 & under
  • 4:30 - 5:15 pm: Ages 9-10’s
  • 5:15 - 6:15 pm: Ages 11 and up

Swim Team Summer Workout schedule

Monday, June 2nd to Thursday, July 31st       
(Monday-Friday)
 
Summer Practice Times: 
  • 8:30 - 9:45am: Ages 13 & ups (last 15 min on pool deck for dryland)
  • 9:15 - 10:30am: Ages 9-10's and 11-12's (first 15 min on pool deck for dryland)
  • 10:15 - 11:15am: Ages 7-8’s (first 15 min on pool deck for dryland)
  • 11:15 - 11:45am: Ages 6 & Under
  • 11:45am - 12:15pm: Mini’s and Learn to Swim (LTS ends Friday, July 19th)
June 30th to July 4th - There will be no swim team activities during these dates.
 

Summer Swim Lessons

For Swim Team, Mini Marlins and HOA Community Children
Private competitive and “Learn to Swim” lessons will be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays. Lessons are offered to Campolindo HOA families, as well as siblings of any CCC Marlin or Mini-Marlin Swimmers.
  

Parent Volunteer Commitments

The CCC swim team is a volunteer run organization and we rely on parents to help with all swim meets and social activities.  Depending on the level of the swimmer, we ask the following of each family:
  • Marlin swimmers: 6 commitments per family + 1 OMPA job
  • Teen (15-18 year old) swimmers only: 3 commitments per family + 1 OMPA job
  • Mini-Marlin swimmers only: 2 commitments per family
  • Families have the option to hire “substitute workers” if they so choose.

Social Events

One of the main highlights of each season are the number of social events that the team will host throughout the summer. Events are held for all ages, some with specific age groups, and others, such as our popular “Buddy Night”, involves the whole team.
