CODE OF CONDUCT
PURPOSE
In setting these rules for participation in Countryside Country Club Aquatics, the Board of Directors is attempting to enhance the enjoyment and enthusiasm of all swim team members. It is hoped that pride in the team, together with the thoughtfulness and consideration we afford our fellow team members, will make the enforcement of any rules unnecessary.
The reputation and status of the Countryside Country Club Aquatics (Dolphins) is of utmost importance for the continued viability and growth of the organization. The conduct of the membership of the Dolphins directly impacts the reputation and status of the organization. This Code of Conduct provides the basic framework under which the organization and its membership shall operate.
PART I – GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT RULES

All members (both parents and swimmers) of the Dolphins shall abide by and acknowledge this policy upon registration for the program.

All members of the Dolphins and the organization are expected to act with integrity and demonstrate the utmost in sportsmanship at all times.

Disrespectful, indiscreet or destructive behavior will not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of each member to make every effort to avoid association with such activities.

Members shall adhere to all rules, regulations and instructions issued by the Coaching staff.

Members shall adhere to all rules and regulations established for special events (e.g., team travel, team sponsored social events, etc.).

Members shall value and protect the reputation and status of the Dolphins in all venues, both public and private (including electronic and social media including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.), and shall do nothing purposefully to diminish, disparage, or otherwise harm and/or devalue said reputation and status.

Members shall support their fellow teammates, Coaches and all other persons associated with the

Dolphins in all efforts to enhance the viability and sustainability of the organization.

Members shall value the achievements and accomplishments of the team and their teammates and shall support the goals of the team and teammates.

In addition to the Codes of Conduct adopted by the Dolphins, all members of its organization must be familiar with and abide by the applicable Codes of Conduct of USA Swimming and Florida Swimming, any host competition venue, and any training venue utilized by the Dolphins.

Action Plan of the Countryside Country Club Dolphins to Address Bullying
PURPOSE
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at [Countryside Country Club Dolphins] (the “Club”) and will not be tolerated. Bullying is counterproductive to team spirit and can be devastating to a victim. The Club is committed to providing a safe, caring and friendly environment for all of our members. If bullying does occur, all athletes and parents should know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. Anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell a coach, board member or athlete/mentor.
Objectives of the Club’s Bullying Policy and Action Plan:

To make it clear that the Club will not tolerate bullying in any form.

To define bullying and give all board members, coaches, parents and swimmers a good understanding of what bullying is.

To make it known to all parents, swimmers and coaching staff that there is a policy and protocol should any bullying issues arise.

To spread the word that (Countryside Country Club Dolphins) takes bullying seriously and that all swimmers and parents can be assured that they will be supported when bullying is reported.
WHAT IS BULLYING?
Generally, bullying is the use of aggression, whether intentional or not, which hurts another person. Bullying results in pain and distress.
Bullying is the severe or repeated use, regardless of when or where it may occur, by one or more USA Swimming members of an oral, written, electronic or technological expression, image, sound, data or intelligence of any nature (regardless of the method of transmission) , or a physical act or gesture , or any combination thereof, directed at any other member or Participating Non-Member that to a reasonably objective person has the effect of causing physical or emotional harm to the other member or damage to the other member’s property;

Placing the other member in reasonable fear of harm to himself/herself or of damage to his/her property;

Creating a hostile environment for the other member at any USA Swimming activity;

Infringing on the rights of the other member at any USA Swimming activity; or

Materially and substantially disrupting the training process or the orderly operation of any USA Swimming activity (which for the purposes of this section
