The Pine Valley Country Club Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Our goal is to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes, geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of their abilities.

Prep Team

This is our entry-level group. An athlete must be at least 4 years old and have some experience with swimming. Athletes must be able to enter the water confidently and understand they are here to learn. The prep team is designed to teach young athletes the four competitive strokes. Coaches are in the water with the swimmers for the duration of the practice, working to build key swimming skills that enable the swimmer to swim a length of the pool by the end of the season.


Workout Days/Times: Monday-Friday mornings.

White Group (Swim Team)

White Group is primarily ages 9 and under. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and improving starts. Athletes in this group must be able to complete one length of the pool (25 meters) unassisted. 

Workout Days/Times: Monday-Friday -- 10:00-11:00 AM

Green Group (Swim Team)

Green Group is designed for elementary-aged athletes 9 and up, but there can be exceptions with significant experience. This group is exposed to more significant training while still maintaining a focus on technique development. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged.

Workout Days/Times: Monday-Friday -- 9:00-10:00 AM

Gold Group (Swim Team)

This group is geared toward middle-school swimmers (entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade). Coaches introduce more rigorous training to develop strong aerobic endurance.

Workout Days/Times: Monday-Friday -- 8:00 - 9:00 AM or 7:30 - 8:45 PM (Tuesday & Thursday only)

High School Group 

All athletes in this group should enter the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the upcoming school year. Athletes entering the high school group must show a strong desire to perform at the highest level they can. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. 

Workout Days/Times: Monday-Friday -- 8:00 - 9:00 AM or 7:45 - 8:45 PM (Monday-Thursday only)
