Coach Directory
Coach Spencer was a member of the USA National Team from 2000-2007
(World Championship Team in 2005). He was a four year starter,
All-American, and team captain at UC Berkeley before playing
professionally in Hungary, Italy, and Australia. After
retiring from professional water polo, Spencer was an assistant
coach for the varsity water polo program in Laguna Beach,
California in 2007-2008. He coached in San Francisco from
2008-2012 with the SF Tsunami master’s team and the Palo Alto
varsity high school women’s team.
Since moving to Dallas in 2012, he has been coaching at St. Marks
School of Texas and in 2016 he became the Head Coach at
Pegasus.
Coach Trent grew up in Chino Hills, California playing water polo and went on to play at UC Berkeley from 2005-2008. He was team captain his Junior and Senior season as well as an All-American. Subsquently he played for the USA Senior National Team in 2009, representing his country at the World Univeristy Games in Belgrade, Serbia. Trent started coaching club water polo in 2007 with the Lamorinda WPC in Northern California and in 2011-12 took his 16u team to a 44-0 season winning Junior Olympics, Club Championships, and the Kap 7 International. Trent went on to coach at the collegiate level at Brown University leading them to its first conference title in 30 years and then for the UC Davis Aggies leading them to a conference title. Trent has also sucessfully coached Team USA at the Men's Cadet level winning silver in 2018 at the Junior Pan American Championships. and gold in the 2020 Pan American Champsionships. Trent currently coaches the St. Mark's Lions in Dallas, Texas and has led the team to two back to back state titles in 2021 and 2022 as well as the Inaugural TISCA Non UIL State Championship in Fall 2022. Trent joined the Pegasus coaching staff in 2021.
Coach Luis was born in Venezuela where he also started playing water polo. He now has over 30 years experience as a water polo player, as he played at several national tournaments, as well as internationally for the Student Water Polo Club Zurich in Switzerland , and for the Jewish Water Polo Club in London, Great Britain. He particapted in the Master Pan American games in Orlando, FL. 2013 representing his home country as well as the I nternational Herbert-Esters Water Polo Tournament. From 2003 to 2007 he played for Dynamo Water Polo Club in Atlanta , until he relocated to Dallas where he has joint the Dallas Water Polo Club.
In addition to his playing career Coach Luis had the opportunity to Coach for 6 years in Venezuela and for the last couple of years in Dallas.
Coach Ashley was an ACWPC All-American, All-CWPA selection on Princeton University's Division I Water Polo Program. In her time at Princeton, Ashley's team won three CWPA Championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. Her senior year Ashley became the fifth player in school history to surpass the 200-goal plateau.
Ashley grew up in Miami, Florida, playing for numerous South Florida Water Polo Clubs. Coach Ashley played at Miami Country Day School and earned back-to-back Most Valuable Player award and was a two-time member of the Florida First Team All-County Selection. Ashley also later went on to coach the Raider Water Polo 18U Women's Team at Junior Olympics.
Coach Ashley is a current member of the Argentine Women's National Team, whom she represented in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, and the 2018 South American Games in Peru. She also works full-time as a technology consultant at KPMG.
Coach Juan was born in Colombia where he studied at Escuela Nacional del Deporte (National Sports Collage), obtaining a BS Sports Studies. He coached U-16 and U-18 Boyas WPC and Yubarts WPC, as well as the Valle B U-16 regional team in national championships, and served as assistant coach for the U-16 Colombian National Team. Juan has been playing water polo for 18 years, and throughout his career he accumulated multiple Colombian National Championships, and represented the National Team at several international competitions including Pan American Tournaments, South American Games and the 2007 Junior World Championship.
Coach Peter was born and raised in Budapest Hungary, where he played water polo in all youth catgories and professionally. After his playing career he started coaching in 2005. He served as Head Coach of the Jamacain National Team before relocation to Dallas in 2013. He has been coaching all age groups with Trident Water Polo Club and serves as Head Coach of Dallas Masters Water Polo. He was also invited to serve as Head Coach for USA Waterpolo's South West Zone Junior Team in 2014.
Carl Matthews is a Southern California native with twelve years of experience playing water polo. After attending secondary school at Esperanza High School, Carl went to Long Beach City College to study History and completed two years of collegiate water polo and swim. He then transferred to the University of Redlands where he earned his BA in History and completed his final two years of Division III water polo in 2020.
Coach Grant was a starter for four years and All American at Pepperdine University from 2004-2008. He was also a member of the US Youth and Junior National Teams from 2006-2008. After graduating Pepperdine he moved to France to play water polo professionally. Upon his return he coachd for Foothill Water Polo Club (Southern California) from 2009-2015 covering ages 10-18.
He served as Head Coach at Damien High School (La Verne, Ca.) from 2010-2015 and as Head Coach and Program Director of Mesa Water Polo Club (Mesa, Az.) from 2015-2017. Currently he is the Head Coach at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas.
Andres grew up in the Dominican Republic and was a member of the
Dominican Republic National Water Polo team for many years and
competed in CCCAN, Pan American Games, and the World Qualifying
Championship. He went on to compete at the collegiate level for the
University of Arkansas was team captain his Junior and Senior
years. He is a First Team All-American four times and a member of
the Little Rock Hall of Fame for water polo. Andres has coached
Dominican 15U Junior National Teams and coached for University of
Arkansas. He moved to Texas and founded the Rockwall Water Polo
Club in 2011 and won the State Championship title in 2012 in Texas.
He then founded and coached the Rockwall High School water polo
program from 2012-2016. Andres joined the Pegasus coaching staff in
2023.
Coach Carl was raised in Orange County, California, where he swam
for the Mission Viejo Nadadores and began his water polo journey as
a freshman in high school. During his senior year, he served as the
starting 2m player for the team that won the 3-A CIF championship.
Carl subsequently achieved two California State Water Polo
Championships and a State Championship in the 200-yard Breaststroke
while at Golden West College. He continued his athletic career at
UCLA. Following his college years, Carl relocated to Maryland,
where he began his coaching career with the US Naval
Academy’s club team, NAAC, while also playing. Throughout his
coaching tenure, he has led teams that earned medals in Junior
Olympics, including a Gold Medal at the 18’s Women’s
level. In 1999, Carl took on the role of full-time assistant coach
for the Navy, where he contributed to the team winning their
conference and qualifying for the NCAA championships twice during
his four years. He then transitioned to the University of Maryland
Women’s Varsity team, where he guided them to improved
performance in seven of the eight years he served as Head Coach.
Carl concluded his time at Maryland with a team that achieved a
ranking of 10th on two occasions and finished 12th nationally. In
2021, Carl moved to Dallas with his wife Jane and their two
children, Chris and Kai.
Coach Alex is originally from Serbia where he was the goalkeeper of the Junior National Team of Serbia and Montenegro, which won the European championship in 2001. He then relocated to the United States and played Division I water for BYU-Hawaii and St. Francis College. He received an honorable Mention All-American squad award in 2004. He was coached by some of the legends in the water polo world including Nikola Stamenic, Nenad Vasilevski, Nenad Manojlovic and current USA Men's National Team Head Coach Dejan Udovicic.
Courtney was born and raised in the water polo "hot bed" Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the USA National Team from 1995-2002 (World Championships 1998, 2001) and was a silver medalist at the inaugural Olympics for Women's Water Polo. She was a member of UC Berkeley's inaugural varsity team, four year starter, All-American, and team captain. While completing her law degree at Santa Clara University she was an assistant coach at Stanford University from 1998-2002. She has spent the last 20 years involved in coaching, sport governance, athletic administration, and motivational speaking at the youth, collegiate, and Olympic level. Courtney was inducted to the University of California Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Utah Sports Hall of Fame in 2022. She moved to Dallas four years ago with her husband and four children and is excited to return to coaching.
Coach Carlie grew up in Northern California where she coached and played for Lamorinda Water Polo Club. She also grew up swimming and coaching learn to swim lessons up to 18U swim. She went to school at Campolindo High School and participated in the Olympic Development Program. Campolindo High School won the DFAL Championship in 2014. From there, she played water polo at Indiana University and was n amed Academic All-Big Ten through her tenure. Upon graduation, Carlie relocated to Dallas for a job in finance and has loved living here so far. Carlie started coaching for Pegasus in 2023.
Coach Juli grew up in Riverside,
California where she coached and played for CHAWP water polo. Juli
went to Riverside Poly High School and participated in the
Olympic Development Program. She was recruited to play
NCAA Division I water polo at Indiana University where she was the
captain of the team. Upon graduation, Juli relocated to Nashville,
TN to work in public relations, which has since relocated her to
live and work in Dallas. Juli moved to Dallas and started coaching
for Pegasus in 2023.
Odran is from Dallas, Texas and grew up playing water polo with St.
Marks School of Texas and with Pegasus. He is currently a graduate
student at SMU studying Environmental Engineering and hopes to earn
his MS by the end of 2024. He has been playing water polo for 8
years and has been coaching with Pegasus and St. Mark’s since
2021.
Waldo grew up swimming and playing Water Polo in Puerto Rico. Since he was 6-yrs-old he competed in youth and college national and international meets and tournaments, becoming 50-free champion, finalist in all strokes throughout 18 years, and becoming water polo champion and medalist.
Waldo coached intro-level swim lessons in Puerto Rico, helping 3-16 year-olds the basics of each stroke. He also coached water polo at Richardson High School from 2017-2020. Other than swimming and water polo, he created an elementary school soccer league in Richardson ISD and coached K-6th graders at his school. He also coached soccer and basketball in South Central, Los Angeles, while attending USC.
David was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up playing water polo with St. Marks School of Texas and Pegasus. He graduated from the University of Toronto studying Economics and Psychology on their Varsity Water Polo Team winning all divisional championships and 2x Canadian National Club Championships. He has been playing water polo for 9 years and has been swimming competitively since the age of 6. David joined the Pegasus coaching staff in 2024.
Alex was born in Arkansas. He has been involved with swimming and water polo for 20 years. Member of the Dominican national team and the USA ODP selection team. He is an All American and a National Merit Scholar. International Gold medal at CCCAN in swimming. Joined Pegasus coaching staff in late 2024.
Ursa is from Kranj, Slovenia where she was many times the Slovenian record holder in different age groups in the 100, 200, and 400 freestyle. She swam on the Slovenian team in the 2012 London Olympic Games helping her team place 12th in the 4x200 freestyle relay. Ursa also competed on several European and World Championships.
Coach Jan is originally from Kranj, Slovenia where he still holds multiple national records. He competed at multiple European and World Championships on both junior and senior levels. Jan continued his swimming and academic careers as a Division I student-athlete at Purdue University in Indiana, where he was selected the captain of the swimming and diving team his senior year. After graduation from Purdue in 2015 and before moving to Dallas in 2018 he was a swim coach for wide variety of swimmers, from beginners to World Championship medalists. Currently, Jan is also studying Prosthetics and Orthotics at UT Southwestern.
Eva was born and raised in Lithuania where she started swimming at
a very young age. At age 14, she made a final at European Youth
Summer Olympic Festival and finished 8th in 200 freestyle. She held
national records in 200, 400 freestyle and 50 backstroke in
different age groups and also competed at World Junior Swimming
Championships where together with three other Lithuanian teammates
won a silver medal in 4x100 mixed medley relay. On top of that, Eva
continued her career in the United Kingdom and competed at European
Swimming Championships in 2014. In 2016, she came to the USA to
swim for Southern Methodist University’s Swimming and Diving
team. She taught swimming for 2 years at Dedman Center for Lifetime
Sports and joined the Pegasus coaching staff in 2020.
Martina was one of the leading female swimmers in the world. She
represented her native country of Slovakia at
five consecutive Olympic Games (1992-2008) and many World and
European Championships. She is a 2-time
Olympic silver medalist in 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle,
missing the gold by mere 0.08 seconds. In addition,
she reached the Olympic final four times. She rarely failed to win
a medal at a major championship. She won total
of 67 individual medals: 2 Olympic silver medals, 22 medals from
the World Championships and 43 medals from
the European Championships. She broke 3 World, 16 European and 207
Slovak national records. She also won 105
gold medals at the FINA World Cups and become the overall winner of
its World Cup Series three times. She is also
4-time US National Champion and 10-time US Open Champion.
In 1995, Martina accepted an athletic scholarship at SMU in Dallas.
In only four and half years, she completed two
degrees, a Bachelor’s in Business (1998) and a Master’s
in Economics (2000). The 1999 NCAA Swimmer of the Year
and Honda Award Winner for Swimming & Diving, Martina
dominated the collegiate swimming in the late 1990s.
She won 10 individual NCAA titles during her career at SMU, the
second winningest in the NCAA history. Overall,
she won 14 NCAA titles as a Mustang, including four straight 200
free titles. Martina ended her collegiate career as
a 25-time All-American, winning amazing 26 conference (SWC &
WAC) titles. Some of her school records are yet to
be broken. She was inducted into SMU Hall of Fame in 2008.
Upon graduation from SMU in 1999, she signed an endorsement
contract with TYR Sports and became the face of
the brand for 8 years. During that time, she taught stroke clinics
and inspired many young swimmers across the
US. She also served as a member of the FINA Athletes Commission for
8 years.
She retired from competitive swimming in 2012. During summers she
runs her successful swim camps in Slovakia.
She coached for Dallas Mustangs, teaches private stroke lessons and
coaches for Pegasus Masters. She has two
young children, daughter Karolina who swims competitively, winning
the 2021 Texas Age Group Championships.
Her son Michal also swims competitively and enjoys playing tennis.
She is married to Martin Valko, a partner at
Dallas-based immigration law firm of Chavez & Valko,
LLP.

Ilektra was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She swum a variety of events throughout her swimming career and was a member of the Greek National team since age 13. Some of the highlights were a 3rd place in the 1st European Games in Baku in 2015 in the 100 fly with a youth Greek national record and a 5th finish in the 400 Individual Medley in the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in 2013 .She has represented Greece in many international meets such as Junior European, Junior World Championships, and Youth Olympics, in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. In the open category she participated in the World Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2017 and 2022, qualifying in the 400 Individual Medley and Open Water respectively. Currently, she is still training under Ozzie and the SMU varsity women's team and trying to qualify for the Paris Olympics in 2024 in the 400 Individual Medley. She swam for Northwestern University and SMU, got her undergraduate degree in psychology and attended SMU for her graduate degree in Organizational Psychology. She started coaching for Pegasus in 2023.
Sarah grew up in Dallas, started swimming for the KC Sharks at the age of seven, and swam every summer until she was 17. She began coaching swimming at 14. Sarah walked on to the Trinity University Track and Field team and learned high jump. She helped the team win two SCAC Championships and had three top three finishes at conference in high jump. Her senior year, she was on the NCAA Division III All Academic Track and Field Team and ended the season ranked 26 th in the nation for high jump. She then got back to swimming and began coaching for the KayCee Club in 2016: Arctic Sharks in the winter, KC Sharks in the summer, and White Rock Masters year-round. She has coached and taught swimming lessons to people ages 3 and up. She received her MFA in Studio Art from the University of Kansas in 2021 and has taught printmaking classes at KU and UNT. She currently teaches printmaking at Dallas College and continues to make art. She has been swimming with Pegasus Aquatic Masters since 2021 and began coaching again in 2024.
Coach Annie was a collegiate swimmer at the University of the Incarnate Word from 2019-2023. She was a team capitan her final year and enjoyed racing the 100 fly and 200 back. Coach Annie also works with USA Swimming as their Athlete Director of Leadership for the Central Zone and as a member of the Athlete Executive Committee. Annie has over 8 years of coaching and swim lesson experience in Oklahoma and in Texas. Currently Annie is pursuing her Masters Degree at UT Southwestern in Orthotics and Prosthetics and is a Masters swimmer with Pegasus. She joined the coaching staff in 2024.
A native of Colorado a High School All American, Patten earned a
scholarship to compete at Southern Methodist University. He was a
five-time NCAA division I All American. He was a high school All
American all three years of his high school career. During his age
group career Patten set over 100 Colorado State Records, competed
in five Jr. Nationals and Two Sr. Nationals and the 1980 Olympic
Trials. Patten accepted a scholarship to swim for Southern
Methodist University with Coach George McMillion. While at SMU
Patten was a five-time NCAA All American and represented the United
States at the 1982 World Championships. In the 1983 college season
Patten swam the butterfly on the 4X100 medley NCAA Championship
Relay, which set the American and US Open record. This record was
made possible by a 51 second breaststroke swum by Olympian Steve
Lundquist. Patten said the freestyler, John Spaulding, and I had a
race plan, “don’t false start.”
After college Patten continued to compete and represented the USA
at the Pan Pacific games in 1987. While in college, Patten began
coaching masters for The Lone Star Masters Swim Club. In 1999
Patten was Co-Founder of the Dallas Aquatic Masters or DAM. As a
master swimmer he has set numerous world and national records in
several events including the 200 butterfly, the 400, 800, 1500
freestyle, and 10K swim. Patten is an experienced open water
swimmer and has been the overall winner of the Waikiki Roughwater
Swim, the Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim, and the Lake Minnetonka 5-mile
Open Water National Championship Swim. He was named United States
Masters Swimming coach of the year in 2010. Patten is
finishing his twenty-first season as the Head Coach for The
Hockaday School.
Steve is a native of California (Mission Viejo), he was a 4-time
High School All American, National High School Champion and Record
holder (100 Backstroke - 1980). In college he was a 3-time NCAA
All-American at UCLA (1981)& SMU (1984 & 1985). On the
national scene he was a 3-time US National Champion (200
Backstroke)and represented US on various national teams including
the 1980 Olympic Team & 1982 World Championship team.
Steve has been involved with Masters swimming since 1987 with
Dallas Aquatic Masters, an Orlando Masters Team, and
currently Pegasus Aquatic Masters. He personally does various
open water swims, preferring the tropical climates of Cayman &
Maui, for his swims.
On the professional side, he has just recently parted with his
employer of 15 years, EmCare (an Emergency Medicine Practice
Management Co) and was the Director of Financial Planning &
Analysis. And he continues to have a Medical Consulting (Financial)
company since 2007.
Steve lives in Lakewood. He has two boys Andrew and Thomas. When he
is not coaching masters swimming he is often seen on the golf
course. As a result of his passion, for masters coaching and
volume, he has been referred to as "Coach Yell" from
time-to-time.
Janie is from Glastonbury, Connecticut and started swimming at age 8. She swam for Baylor University and then attended Baylor Medical Center. Her swimming career really took off when she joined Dallas Aquatic Masters in 2005. Janie has been very competitive in Masters Swimming and is consistently ranked in the USMS Top Ten in butterfly and freestyle spring events. She has swum on several USMS and Masters world record-breaking relays. Janie is a nurse anesthetist at Presbyterian Hospital. She started coaching Masters in 2014 and joined Pegasus Aquatic Masters in 2020.
He learned to swim at the age of four and excelled in several youth sports before committing to swim on his high school team in Ohio. After two years in Ohio his family moved to Michigan where Carl was captain of the Owosso Trojans swim team his senior year. He also participated on the syncronized swim team. As a young adult he moved to Dallas for business and joined Masters swimming for fitness and became a better swimmer than he was in high school. He has competed in USMS competitions in the sprint events. Through Masters swimming he learned open water swimming and has traveled to many tropical destinations competing in open water events. Carl is certified in the USMS Adult Learn to Swim Program and has taught swimming to adults with a fear of water to swim. Carl met his wife, Laurie, through Masters swimming, and is the owner of Dunlap Masonry Products, and has three adult children.
Billy is originally from Penn Hills, Pennslyvania, and came to
Dallas to swim for SMU. He was captain of the SMU Swim Team in 1979
and was a 3 time NCAA Division I All-American and a 1976 Olympic
Trial finalist. He was 5-time member of the USA National Team and
was inducted into the Pennslyvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. He
is the owner of the White Rock Construction, Inc. and is married to
Carol and they have four children. Billy started coaching Masters
swimming in 2009 with Dallas Aquatic Masters and joined the Pegasus
coaching staff in 2020.
Liana was born in Mountain View, CA., and started swimming competitively at age four. As an age-grouper, she was a consistent Junior National and National qualifier in mid-distance and distance freestyle events, winning the 200 Free at the Alabama State H.S. Championship. Liana swam distance freestyle events for SMU 1985-1989 and was Team Captain 1988-1989. She starting coaching Masters swimming in 2001 at Dallas Aquatic Masters and joined the Pegasus coaching staff in 2020. Liana specializes in breathing and stroke fundamentals for beginning swimmers and distance and open water training.
Lynn grew up swimming in Tucson, Arizona. She attended
college at Arizona State and was an All-American in 1973 as the
freestyle leg on their 200-medley relay team. She has
lived in Dallas since 1977 and has been swimming masters since
1981. Lynn is a Certified Level 3 Masters coach, with special
focus on fine tuning the aspects of sprint training. This has
paid off well, yielding multiple Top Ten, American and World
Records. Her coaching style is one that encourages FUN
… and leaving each workout with both a since of
accomplishment and desire to come back for more!
Alex is from Schaumburg, Illinois. He grew up swimming age group
for the Palatine Tiger Sharks and
Hickory Willow Dolphins where he reached their senior level
national teams. Alex swam with the
Badgers at the University of Wisconsin in Madison during his first
year in 2014. In 2018, he graduated
with a degree in mechanical engineering and enjoys applying those
principles to sport when he can.
Alex has been helping various athletes with strength and
conditioning training since 2020 and
swimming with the Pegasus Masters group since 2021.
Kirk grew up in San Diego. After exceling in age group swimming he head to Austin, Texas to swim for Eddie Reese and Kris Kubik at the University of Texas. Under the program, Kirk enjoyed great success winning 3 team and 3 individual national championships, become a 16 time All American and achieving a berth on the 1988 Olympic team in the 200 breaststroke. In 1990, Kirk held his highest ranking as second in the world in the 200 breaststroke and third in the world in the 100 breaststroke after an outstanding Goodwill games showing. He is a ASCA level 2;3 certified coach as well as a USMS level2 certified coach and started coaching with Pegasus in 2022.
Erin grew up in Crowley, Louisiana beginning her elite swim career competing for Crawfish Aquatics under the coaching of Thomas Clavier. While competing under Clavier, Erin became state champion and set state records in multiple events, most notably the 100 fly composite Louisiana High School state record her junior year.
She continued her swim career at Southern Methodist University where overall she collected 21 All-Conference Honors - 6 being Individual Conference Championships. She also qualified for the NCAA Championships her junior and senior years in the 100, 200 fly and 50 free, and earned All-American Honors her senior year in the 100 fly. She was also selected American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Swimmer at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championships, and SMU awarded her Student Athlete of the Year for both 2018-19 & 2019-20 seasons.
After graduating, she trained for a year for the postponed 2020 Olympic Trials in San Diego, California for the College Contingency Team (CCT) alongside Team Elite under the guidance of Olympic head coach David Marsh. While in San Diego, she found her second passion in the sport of swimming - coaching. She became an age-group swim coach for Coronado Swim Association. After completing her year of training in San Diego, Erin moved back to her Dallas home and to continue her coaching career with Dallas Mustangs and now Pegasus Aquatics
Marylyn is a native of Dallas, Texas and grew up swimming with the Dallas Mustangs and at Parish Episcopal. She was part of 4x TAPPS state championship teams at Parish and won 8 individual state titles. Marylyn went on to swim at the University of Texas at Austin and was part of 2x Big-12 Championship teams. She was also named to the All-Academic Big-12 first team, Big-12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and the University of Texas Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Marylyn competed at the 2012 US Olympic Trials in the 100m Butterfly.
Her coaching career started when she was a swim instructor and coached the Royal Oaks Country Club swim team (ages 5+) for 7 summers during high school and college. Since then she has been coaching Masters swimming since 2016 and is also the Assistant Varsity Swim Coach at The Hockaday School. In addition to coaching and doing social media/marketing for Pegasus she also works full-time in advertising.
Dirk is from Dallas, Texas and is a graduate of the Univeristy
of North Texas with a degree in elementary education. He has more
than 25 years of coaching and teaching experience and currently
teaches swim lessons at The Dallas Country Club and coaches the
adult Pegasus Masters swimmers. Dirk helped coach the St.
Mark's varsity team to six consecutive SPC Championships from
2009-2015. He was ranked sixth in the nation in his age group in
2007, took first place at the Capitol of Texas Open Water Swim in
2008 and has competed in multiple triathlons and distance ocean
swims.
He specializes in instructing novice through experienced athletes
as well as those who have special needs or accommodations. His
instruction expertise is stroke mechanics, efficiency, training
tips, proper breathing, concentration and discipline, stamina,
confidence, overcoming fear of water (any age), stress reduction,
and muscle toning.
Ashley grew up in Mason, Ohio. She was team captain of her high school team junior and senior year, and helped her team to a pair of State Championships. She also swam club with the Mason Manta Rays. She went on to swim for Southern Methodist University where she earned the newcomer of the year award and was apart of the AAC All-Academic Team.
