| 2024 Fall Swim Registration and Program Information The Kingsbrooke Sea Lions Fall & Winter Swim Program offers a fun environment for athletes of all abilities to improve their strokes and maintain fitness. If your goal is improved technique, increased endurance, and/or better physical shape for the start of the summer season, the Kingsbrooke Sea Lions Fall & Winter Swim program is for your swimmers! Coaching: Christine Haslem, Head Coach and Matt Hazelworth, Assistant Coach Location: Central Park Aquatic Center (off of Godwin Drive near Rt. 28) Session Dates: September 15th - December 15th (No practice on Sunday, December 1st) Sea Lion Pups Program (30-miunte session: Sunday) – Swimmers ages 4 to 10 who are unable to swim across the pool w/out assistance. Swimmers will focus on learn to swim fundamentals, stroke basics and building endurance.
Beginner Program (45-minute session: Sunday) – Swimmers 10 and under who are comfortable swimming Freestyle and Backstroke. Swimmers will focus on refining Freestyle and Backstroke while learning the basic skills needed for legal Butterfly and Breaststroke.
Intermediate Program (60-minute session: Sunday) - Swimmers must be legal in 3 of 4 competitive strokes. Swimmers will work on stroke development while perfecting open turns and flip turns. These swimmers will also start work on aerobic development.
Advanced Program (60-minute session: Sunday) - Swimmers with previous swim team experience who are legal and comfortable swimming all 4 competitive strokes and Individually Medley. Swimmers have basic skills needed to perform open turns and flip turns. These swimmers will refine stroke technique while also working on speed and building endurance.
Session Pricing: $175 per swimmer, Each additional registered sibling in the family will receive 10% off their registration fee.
Registration and Payment: Registration opens August 10, 2024 for all returning swimmers and New Families. Payments are accepted via Credit Card through TeamUnify or by Check. Registration payments are due no later than seven (7) days from the date of your online registration unless other arrangements are made and approved by the board. *Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Spaces for Fall Swim are limited due to pool spacing & availability. Your payment will be processed when you register. Once your payment processes, you are assumed to be registered.
