Returning Families - We Need Your Help!
Our team is in dire need of more judges, referrees, and starters. Without these key roles, we cannot run the meets and may need to forfeit the events. :(
All our swim meets are completely volunteer-run, and we need parents or guardians to participate. We especially hope returning families will consider getting certified to be a judge, referee, or starter so we can run the meets that our kids love! New families are also welcome to become a judge.
To volunteer in one of these key roles, you'll need to attend one of the DSDC training sessions below. It is important to note that being a judge is NOT hard. The training is simple and will give you a whole new understanding of the strokes and rules. As a judge, you'll also have the best view of your kid swimming! ***Note that volunteers need to be a judge for 2 years before beoming a Referree or Starter.
Judge/Referree/Starter Training Sessions:
- Option 1: May 31, 7-8pm @Bloomingdale Park District
- Option 2: June 6, 7-8pm @Bloomingdale Park District
