Work Requirements:

  • Each family is required to fulfill 3 work shifts during the regular season.
  • If you have a swimmer entered in prelims, you must fulfill 1 work shift at prelims.
  • If your swimmer qualifies for finals (top 16), you must fulfill 1 work shift at finals.

What to Bring to a Meet:

  • Team Suit/Cap (optional)
  • Goggles (a spare pair is a good idea)
  • Warm Clothing
  • Towels (at least 2)
  • Water bottle
  • Healthy Snacks
  • Blanket or sleeping bag to sit on
  • Sharpie for writing events on your arm
  • A positive Attitude
  • Good Sportsmanship

IMPORTANT:

  • Several Aquatic Centers have asked that swimmers refrain from writing on their back and back of their legs at meets.  The marker rubs off on the chairs and stains the rubber webbing.
  • During swim meets it is important for swimmers to stay with the team in the Bullpen.  Swimmers should not be in the lazy rivers or casual pools.  Please make sure to pick up your trash and any trash in your area before you leave for the evening.
  • Please do not leave a swim meet early without your child informing the coach.  Many swimmers are placed in relay events, and if you leave early this leaves the team short swimmers and affects the team’s ability to form complete relay teams.

Conference Prelims & Finals Primer:

  • Swimming Prelims are early in the morning over two days.  (Prelims are held in the mornings to accommodate the volume of swimmers and parents, and allow the Aquatic Center to operate as usual.)
  • The top 16 swimmers plus two alternates will advance to the Conference Finals.
  • If your child is an alternate in an event (17th or 18th place), they will need to attend Finals.
  • Warm up times will be posted closer to the events.
  • If you cannot attend or participate in prelims AND finals, you will not be entered into Conference Prelims.
