The Elmer Sharks Swim Team is part of the Suburban Swim Association of South Jersey. The SSA league is comprised of 12 summer swim clubs that are separted into two divisions, the Olympic Division and the National Division.
The Elmer Swim Club offers competitive swimming from ages 3 to 18 years old. Swimmers as young as 3 can begin as a kickboarder learning the basics and fundamentals of swimming. Our coaches hands on, in the water coaching, instills the love of swimming at such a young age!
Once swimmers are able to swim 25 meters unassited, they will compete in individual events in the four strokes; freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, the individual medley (all four strokes in one event), as well as team events in the medley relay and freestyle relay.
There are five different age groups: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18.
The Season begins after Memorial Day weekend and ends by the first week of August.
Due to our league by-laws, your family must be a member of the Elmer Swim Club in order for your child(ren) to be on the swim team.
