San Ramon Aquacats Swim Team

Welcome to the San Ramon Aquacats!

The San Ramon Aquacats is a recreational swim team based in San Ramon, California, with nearly 200 swimmers ages 4 to 18. Our swimmers develop their technique, compete in various swim meets, and build confidence under the guidance of our dedicated coaching staff. For over three decades, we have proudly served the San Ramon swim community. As part of the Valley Swim Association (VSA)—a league of seven local recreational teams—being an Aquacat is a great way for your swimmer to stay active, refine their skills, and make lifelong friends.

We are a parent-run team, led by a volunteer Board of Directors, with a focus on creating an inclusive environment that encourages personal growth, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. All swimmers are welcomed as active team members, and our philosophy emphasizes skill development, goal setting, recreational competition, team building, and—most importantly—fun! Each swimmer is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Swim Seasons

  • Spring & Summer Swim: April through July. Swimmers with qualifying times may compete through early August at the Contra Costa County Championship Invitational. Registration opens in January.

  • Fall Swim: Mid-August through December. Fall Swim is a continuation of Summer Rec Swim with separate fees. Registration opens in August.

Training Programs

  • Spring Clinics (March): A 4-week pre-season program for current team members to get back in shape and prepare for the Summer season.

  • High School Conditioning Program (Winter): For high school swimmers planning to try out for their school teams.

These training programs are separate from the Summer and Fall swim seasons and require separate registration and fees.

Eligibility Note: Swimmers who have trained with a USA Swim program after December 31st are not eligible for the Spring & Summer Swim or Fall Swim seasons. The San Ramon Aquacats reserve the right to decline team membership in these cases.
