Coaches’ Update:
We had a blast watching our swimmers compete in our first home meets! Our team spirit was on full display. A special shout out to the parents, families, and swimmers who were cheering on our team from the side of the pool, sidelines, and end of the pool. It was evident that we are a team that helps encourage, lift, and support each other. It’s all about the fun and the spirit!
We are looking forward to the big buddy/little buddy picnic this week! This is a great way for team bonding, and is representative of our wonderful culture at WCSC!!!
Look to OnDeck as we get closer to meets to receive important info for start times. Also PLEASE sign-out of meets before the deadline.
On Saturday 6/15 for the Home meet, let’s wear USA gear to kick off the start of the US Olympic Swim Trials.
Gooooo WCSC!!!!!

Congratulations to our entire team for winning our first dual meet of the year against Pleasant Hill Dolfins! Let’s strive to make this the first of many more the rest of this summer. And a great job to all swimmers as we observed numerous best times and red, white, and blue star achievements!
Jobs:
Thanks to all our volunteers who helped out for our first home meets this week! It takes a village and we appreciate everyone’s time, commitment and patience.
All City meet jobs will be open for sign-ups on Friday, June 14 at 8:00am. This is the team’s biggest fundraiser and all families (including with 15-18s swimmers; the only exception are those families who have season buyout). All families must work one set-up (Friday evening) OR takedown (Sunday afternoon) shift and two 4-hour (or one 8-hour) shift on Saturday or Sunday. Jobs are first-come, first-served so sign up early to get the jobs and days that you want!
Please read the job descriptions and know what you are signing up for. There will be jobs unique to this meet such as clerk of the course (checking off, seating and accompanying swimmers to lanes for their races), hospitality and pool and parking marshals as well as snack shack.
If you will not be attending the All City meet, please sign up for your job slots and find subs to cover for your jobs. Any questions, please email [email protected]. Thank you!
All City:
The All City Meet is less than three weeks away! Please start checking the WCSC website and look at the All City tab, as up to date information will be located there. We will send out more information this week about job signups, parking passes, and volunteer requirements.
Shout Outs (DUE 6/19) are a great way to send encouragement to your swimmer and will be featured in the program. All you need is a picture of your swimmer, a short message, and $25. Please check in on the website to purchase.
Advertising (DUE 6/19) is also available to purchase and will be included in our program as well. Check the advertising tab on All City to find out prices and sizes.
The proceeds from the advertising and shout outs fees come right back to our team!
Nightrider Updates
Big Buddy/Little Buddy Picnic is our first Nightrider event of the season coming up tomorrow Tuesday, June 11th! We will see you from 6-8 PM in Larkey park for a picnic, dinner, and games!
Remember that the big buddy brings dinner and the little buddy brings drinks/dessert to the picnic. If you haven’t already, before Tuesday night, you will need to find your buddy and find out their favorite foods of choice. Please be mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions. If you don’t know who your buddy is, ask any coach or Nightrider to direct you to find them.
TP List: A longstanding Nightrider tradition is to toilet paper (TP) younger swimmer’s homes at different points throughout the season. It is intended to spread spirit, celebration, and excitement. However, we understand if your family wishes to not participate. Please fill out this form to indicate your preference.
Nightrider Contact: Any Nightrider activity questions or concerns can be directed to [email protected] or [email protected]
