Coaches’ Update:
It was another close and competitive meet Saturday against the Walnut Heights Otters!!
It has been so incredible to see the level of competitiveness and team spirit from our swimmers. Our team has grown in a wonderful way, and it’s time to bring that good energy into the All City Meet this weekend!
The All City Meet is always a special weekend for WCSC, and we look forward to rocking our apparel, coaching our swimmers, and celebrating a beautiful weekend and tradition!
Go WCSC!!!
Meets:
Meet Results:
At Dewing Park (Jun 19)
- WCSC: 222

Vs. Walnut Heights Otters (Jun 22)

Congratulations to the team on another wonderful week of swims and team spirit.
We TIED against Dewing Park! That was a team that we lost to last year by 455 - 323. And then we NEARLY beat Walnut Heights! A team that beat us last year by 419 - 222. We are making amazing strides as a team! Everyone continue to encourage and cheer on our swimmers to score points for our team at All City!
Jobs:
All City is this upcoming weekend and we still need help filling the following volunteer assignments:
- Clerk of the Course (check-in & seaters)
- Pool Marshalls
- Snack Shack (back kitchen/prep & sales)
To those who signed up by the deadline, thank you! If your family has yet to sign-up or only signed up for one 4-hr shift, please reach out to [email protected]. We are looking to fill holes at the key positions mentioned above early this week. Also, be advised that the weekend is very fluid and we ask that families be flexible if you are asked to change job assignments or help with additional job assignments sometimes at the last moment.
We appreciate everyone's effort to ensure a fun and successful meet for all this upcoming weekend. Go WCSC!!
All City:
We are counting down the days! We do have some urgent needs. Please see above for jobs update. We are still short on workers to pull off this event. If you can contribute more, please do so.
Snack Bar needs donations of food, drinks and even your cooler! Please click on the link and volunteer to contribute.

Friday, June 28th: Setup is 5pm Friday. Please meet at the side of the snack shack at 4:50pm, and we’ll go in together. Please note, this is very important: when we go into the pool area, we have 1 hour to set up the meet before letting in the other teams. Do not set up your tent before completing the meet set up. Our team area will be there when our set up tasks are complete. Please go to Kristian Lucas to check in for your job. The team area is crowded, and please plan to share EZ-ups with the rest of our WCSC family.
Saturday, June 29th: Warmups are at 7:50am. The meet begins at 9:00am.
Sunday, June 30th: Warmups are at 7:50am. The meet begins at 9:00am.
Meet Take Down begins after All Ages Relay and expected to be around 3:30pm.
Please make sure to wear WCSC and/or red, white, and blue gear to All City or your new All City shirts and tank tops! We are hosting this meet, and we want to be seen! Thanks to 4th of July, spirit gear is easy to find this time of year.

June 30th-after the meet
Come celebrate after the 36th All City Meet at Pinky’s Pizza in Walnut Creek.
Pinky’s gives a portion of the money spent on food back to the team. It’s a great way to relax (or collapse) after the meet and celebrate for another excellent meet. And no one wants to cook Sunday night!
New Families:
9-10 Year olds have their Group Social (Bowling and Pizza at Clayton Valley Bowl) on June 26th 6-8 pm. Make sure to RSVP for the event! Swimmers had a blast last year bowling and hanging out with their teammates and coaches.
All City - Get ready for a fun and exciting meet! Please make sure you are signed up for your volunteer hours and check in each session so you receive your volunteer credit. New families plan to set up Friday at 4:30. Bring your tents and chairs, place them in our WCSC section, and leave them there all weekend. No need to pack up every day. It is a long day, so bring things to entertain your swimmers.
The All City meet is different - All swimmers must check in to race.
- Swimmers only will go through the clerk of the course (over by snack shack) (NO Parents allowed in seating area- unless you are one of the volunteers working)
- Shepherds will make sure the swimmers are seated in the correct racing order
- Shepards will lead all swimmers to the starting blocks for their races.
- Please make sure races, heats, and lanes are marked on your swimmer(s) arm, hand, or back/shoulder blade. This helps us get the swimmers seated quickly and keeps the meet moving.
- There will be finals each afternoon - Check Score Sheets to see if your swimmer is in finals. Placings will be posted on one of the walls over by the restrooms.
- Please make sure you do not leave in case you are in finals or relays.
- There is also a Parents race, all- age race (1 swimmer from each age group in one relay), and a coach race at All City - Fun to watch and cheer on everyone!
Once the meet is over on Sunday and everything is packed up, head to Pinky’s Pizza for dinner and celebration! Have a great week and we will see you at All City!
