Coaches’ Update:
We had a phenomenal time at Camp Richardson with the team over the weekend and know that the memories created there will last a lifetime. We loved spending time with WCSC families at the beach, at the campsites, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Our newly initiated Nightriders (15-year-olds) were not only turned into human ice cream sundaes at the Big Buddy/Little Buddy Picnic, but they also did a swim in Lake Tahoe at dusk after our night hike! The silly part was having our younger swimmers run those Nightriders’ clothes, shoes, and towels back to the families waiting at the campfire while they were still swimming back to shore! The younger swimmers might have also woken up to some TP’d tents and beautiful markings on their faces. These WCSC traditions are what makes this weekend so special for our swimmers. Thank you, everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July, and we would also like to extend our deep appreciation to our WCSC parents who are actively serving in or are veterans of our United States military.
This Wednesday we will take on the Rudgear Rats at their pool (Rudgear Estates), and this upcoming weekend will be the 60th Annual Woodlands Invitational. If your child is swimming in the Invitational, you have already received the invitation. Relay line-ups for this meet will be posted on OnDeck.
Coaches will be talking with swimmers throughout the next couple of weeks about the importance of showing great sportsmanship. We want to encourage each swimmer to shake the hands of their competitors in the lanes next to them at the conclusion of their races. We appreciate your support in reminding your children to do this.

Meets:
Sign in or out of the Conference Meet if you have not already done so. We really need to have all swimmers confirmed in the next few days. Thank you to everyone that has already signed in or out of the meet.
Sign-out of the 7/17 Larkey Sharks Meet by Wednesday, July 10th if you will not be attending.
Jobs:
Woodlands Invitational
Families with swimmers participating in the upcoming Woodlands Invitational who have not yet signed up for a volunteer job, there’s still time! The job sign-up deadline is fast approaching and will close at midnight on Thursday, July 11th. Please log into your Team Unify or OnDeck account to sign-up for a job prior to the deadline.
Note: This is not necessary for families of swimmers not participating in the Woodlands Invitational.
Dual Meet (Home): LYMA @ WCSC
For the last home dual meet of the season we need 3 additional timers to allow us to run all 10 lanes in the Larkey pool. If you still need to complete your family’s 5 volunteer jobs requirements this season or would just like to help support our team, please reach to [email protected] as soon as possible.

Apparel:
Conference shirts will be ordered this week. In order to receive a shirt, your swimmer must be signed into the meet by Wednesday 7/10. Please double check you have the correct shirt size listed in your OnDeck account under the Apparel tab.
If you’d like to order a shirt for yourself or a swimmer not attending Conference, visit our square shop: CONFERENCE T-SHIRT. These shirts are delivered to the kids on Thursday, 7/25, before Conference during the Nightrider visits. It’s an 80’s theme…SHHHH!
We still have some WCSC lifeguard hats available online here!
Social Events:
11/12 Age Group Social Please RSVP on website and pay $10
Thursday, July 11, 2:00-4:00 pm. Minigolf and Fro Yo at Putter's Golf and Yogurtland This is a drop off event for 11/12 swimmers and coaches only.
Includes Minigolf, swimmers should bring their own money for frozen yogurt.

13/14 Age Group Social Tuesday, July 16th @ Hurricane Harbor Concord Please pay and RSVP by Friday July 12!
WCSC supervision is from 11am - 3pm. Ticket is valid until 5pm
$20 per swimmer (unless you have a season pass). Bring money for food and drinks. Please note Hurricane Harbor does NOT accept cash. Bring a card or you can use their cash machines to put money on a Six Flags card to be used in the park. Please complete form and payment. This is an event for 13/14 age swimmers and coaches only.
13 & Up Fancy Dinner Thursday, July 18 at 6:00 at Spaghetti Factory. Please RSVP on the website and purchase below $30 by Friday, July 12 .
Dinner includes: Bread, salad, soda, choice of any entrée from the menu, ice cream, tax, and gratuity

Once you have purchased, Erin Fairholm will have tickets at practice this week and at the meet on Wednesday to pick up.
