COACHES’ UPDATE:
Fantastic job to all of our WCSC swimmers these past few weeks as we’ve kicked off the 2025 swim season! It’s been awesome to see everyone’s hard work and progress. This upcoming week, we’ll continue to focus on backstroke technique, with coaches helping our swimmers refine their skills and build a solid foundation. Keep up the great work, and let’s keep pushing forward together as we strive to make this swim season be the BEST yet!

JOBS:
It was awesome seeing so many new families at the Parent Info Night last week! Here is a recap of some of what was discussed, plus some additional information.
Dual Meet Job Sign-ups:
- Will be released on May 3rd (two weeks before Time Trials).
- Must sign-up for six (6) dual meet jobs per family (not per swimmer).
- Sign-ups are first-come, first-serve; sign up early to get the dates/jobs you want!
- All dual meet jobs must be signed up for by the May 15th deadline or your swimmer(s) cannot swim in meets.
Stroke & Turn Judging:Are you a former competitive swimmer? And, would you like to have a volunteer job that gives you a front-row view of all the races? Then please consider volunteering to be a stroke and turn judge for our meets. If you are interested, please reach out to Shandon Quinn, our team’s Head of Officials, at [email protected] or [email protected].
Job Substitutes:
Signed-up for a dual meet job, but just can’t make it due to illness, scheduling conflict, or plain desire? We may be able to help. WCSC maintains a list of individuals who can be hired by you to substitute for your job commitment.
Subs must be 16 years or older, responsible, and able/willing to work any of the various meet jobs (timer, snack shack, shepherd, etc.) depending on need. Parents, siblings, neighbors, etc. can all request to be added to our sub list to potentially get hired for dual meet jobs.
This can be a great way to make a little extra money for the summer! Please send the name, age, and cell phone number of any interested subs to [email protected].
APPAREL:
If you haven’t yet ordered your team suits, please do so at our WCSC Elsmore shop! You may also want to consider getting a plain navy suit for practice.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at: [email protected]
SOCIAL EVENTS:
Saturday, May 10th Parent Social 4:30-11:00- Grab a babysitter (Night Riders make excellent babysitters) and come on over to the Fairholm’s. We LOVE our swimmers, but this evening is for parents only.
Come get to know some team parents, play some cornhole, and connect! Bring an appetizer or dessert to share and we will have pizzas and drinks and the rest!
Please include what you will bring in the SignUpGenius notes so we don’t end up with too many duplicates.

There will be a food truck, or bring your own lunch, blanket and chairs to picnic in the park, and say hello to new and returning swimmers and families.
