Coaches’ Update:
WOW! WHAT A WEEKEND!
The coaches are SO PROUD of our swimmers and their incredible accomplishments during All City! Huge shout out to all of our families for your hard work helping make this meet happen! We had tons of new star times achieved, and all of our swimmers had a fun and memorable weekend with their teammates. Thank you all!
We’d like to acknowledge Denise Rigli who has been spending time adding stars to our recognition board each week so that our swimmers have a visual of their goal times. Thank you so much, Denise!
The star recognition boards can be found in the display case at the side of our white shed. Please also make sure that you look in your family’s folder in our award boxes on the picnic tables and take any ribbons or medals home to display proudly.
13-14 and 15-18 Families: please sign your swimmer up for a goal talk with me. We’ll discuss their short term goals leading up to Conference, as well as their long term goals as a swimmer on WCSC. Our coaches are always here to support them, and this is a great way for us to work together and talk about how we can best do that for each individual swimmer. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E48AEAC2BA0F4CE9-57394090-13up
Our focus this week is fine tuning our breaststroke and butterfly. LMYA is allowing each of our swimmers to swim three individual events on Wednesday evening, so everyone will most likely swim at least one of those two strokes. Please remind your swimmers that they must touch each wall with two hands simultaneously in fly and breast. We should also not see dolphin/flutter kicks in breaststroke either. That was one of the most frequent disqualifications we saw at All City. Practice makes permanent!
Looking forward to a fantastic trip to Camp Richardson this Fourth of July weekend with the team!
Goooooo Walnut Creek!
Sincerely,
Coach Emily

Stroke & Turn Clinic - 7/20:
We are planning a clinic on Sunday July 20th from 9-11am. In order to best plan the clinic we'd like to gauge interest and availability. This is a great chance to get that extra practice before The Hox Last Chance Meet and Conference the following weekend.
Stroke & turn Clinic Interest Form
Hox Last Chance Meet - 7/20:
The last few years our team has attended the HOX Last Chance Meet at Blackhawk Country Club. This is a fun meet on a Sunday afternoon/evening. A great opportunity to get more race experience before conference, try and achieve a county time, or just be with your swim friends. They offer three chances to swim the 50 Free and two chances to swim IM. There are no jobs required!! So just show up and have fun!
I wanted to share it now so families can plan for this weekend full of swim events. I will send out this information again as it gets closer. Please let me know if you have questions. [email protected]
Once you are ready to sign up you will need to fill out the google from HOX LAST CHANCE ENTRY and pay for your events via our square HOX LAST CHANCE EVENT FEES. Must sign up by Thursday, July 17th at 4pm.

New Families:
Hello everyone! Now that All City is over, you now have an idea of what to expect for Conference. The events may differ/day and they host finals each afternoon, but it is very similar.
If you are joining us for the camping trip, bring rafts, tubes, paddle boards and bikes or scooters. Many of the kiddos ride all around the campsite when not at the beach. If you didn’t plan to join us this summer, put it on your calendar for next year. It is so much fun for everyone in the family!
Also, keep an eye out for info on our team banquet in September. Our Banquet is a fun celebration of all swimmers and coaches!
All City:
Looking back at All City 2025, the event was a huge success. The kids had a fantastic time, the weather was perfect, we raised money for the team, and everyone's teamwork made it a truly great event. Jenny, Jeff, WCSC leadership, and I want to extend a sincere thank you to all our volunteers.
Camping Updates:
Camping updates have been emailed out to those families that are attending. If you will be attending and staying offsite let us know and we will send you the info for the weekend.
Have a safe and relaxing 4th of July!
