Cindy Myers – Head Coach

This is Cindy's sixth year as Head Coach of the Willougby Stingers.  She is also an assistant swim coach for the West End YMCA Wildcats.  She was born and raised in Willoughby and swam for the Stingers from the time she was 8 to 15.  She also swam for the West End YMCA Wildcats as well as the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins (USA Swimming). She is married with five children, two of which swim for the Stingers: Evelyn (14), and Austin (10).  When not coaching she fills her time substitute teaching at Edison Elementary, running, traveling and working at Tavern Six.

Ella Anderson - Assistant Coach

This is Ella’s third year as Assistant Coach of the Willoughby Stingers. She is entering her Senior year at Willoughby South High School and is a member of the Rebels Swim Team.  She started swimming when she was 9 with the Willoughby Stingers and continued on with the Eastlake Vikings and West End Wildcats until she was 15.  Her favorite strokes are freestyle and backstroke. Her favorite events are the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. When not coaching she spends her free time hanging out with her friends and family. 

Oliver Curwen - Assistant Coach

This is Oliver’s second year as Assistant Coach of the Willoughby Stingers.  Oliver has been coaching in Northeast Ohio since 2006, both in the SSL and has been the Head Coach of the West End Y Wildcats for 11 seasons. He has also coached high school and college swimming. Oliver's children, all swimmers, will also be swimming on their first summer on the Willoughby Stingers.

Séamus Garry – Assistant Coach

This is Séamus’ third year as Assistant Coach of the Willoughby Stingers. He is a 2023 graduate of Willoughby South High School and was a member of both the Rebels swimming and diving teams.  As a senior in 2023, he participated in the Ohio High School Division 1 State Championship Meet for Diving.  He also participated on the soccer and tennis teams. He swam for the Willoughby Stingers starting at the age of 5 and has also swum for the West End Wildcats and Great Lakes Sailfish. His favorite events are butterfly and backstroke, and especially relays. When not coaching his hobbies include going outside, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
