Pre-Season Update 2

Good Afternoon Stinger Nation!

Practices start in less than a month! Here is a quick update on the upcoming season.

The team currently stands at 77 swimmers. We rostered 163 swimmers last season. If you have not got around to registering, please do so. The Parent Board is about to begin assistant coach interviews and those positions are greatly impacted by the number of swimmers the team rosters. If you have questions or concerns about the upcoming season, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or a member of the Parent Board.

Keep in mind, a courtesy shuttle will be offered for all morning practices to Osborne Park Pool. The shuttle will pick up the swimmers at the Euclid Ave Park pavilion and transport them back following the practice. This service will be provided by the city.

Important Dates

5/13/24 or 5/21/24 6-8pm – Scoring Clinic – If you are interested in learning how to score a swim meet this is the clinic for you. The team needs future scorers and the league is putting on a clinic. If you are interested, please contact me.

5/29/24 7pm    - Parent Meeting @ Willoughby Senior Center

6/3/24                  - Practices Begin @ The Hive

6/8/24                 - Black and Gold (Intrasquad Meet) @ The Hive

The Dual meet Schedule has not been finalized. Due to pool availability issues in other communities, we have been asked to host 4 dual meets this season instead of 3. I know we will be up to the task.

7/27&28/ 24     - Championships @ Mentor Civic Center – Plan for all Day- 8&u swimmers will only swim on Saturday

Our yearly LaVera Fundraiser has a preliminary date of 6/3, look for more details soon.
