Everything we do in the swim team is based on volunteers so it is very critical that all families participate as volunteers in meets, as well as other team events. 

Each family is required to earn a minimum of 8 credits of volunteer time by the end of the regular season.  If the requirement is not met, the swimmer/s won't be able to register in the following season.

If you have not completed or signed up to complete 8 credits before Divisionals, (meaning you are working the end of season party) your swimmer will not be eligible to compete at Divisionals.

Please note: Divisionals and other invitational meets do not count towards service credits.  If your child attends any additional meet, you are expected to volunteer beyond the 8 credits.

Please be aware of the following volunteer information:

1) Volunteer sign-ups are listed under each events/meets and they are first come first serve.   

2) Volunteer sign-ups will open the week before, on Thursday at NOON (9 days prior to the meet). Each family may sign up for 1 volunteer spot initially. If there are open jobs remaining, we will allow for a second sign up after 24 hours. If we decide to change the cadence of volunteer sign-up, we will notify the team in advance.

3) Take a look at the VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS to see the jobs you/your family might be interested in doing.

4) Job shifts are generally defined by event numbers. First shift means events #1-32 (IM through backstroke) and the second shift starts with event #33 (butterfly) and continues through the end of the meet (relays). Second shift MUST remain for all relay events. Actual arrive/start times will vary with certain jobs.

5) Please plan to stay for the entire shift, even if your child has finished swimming. We do understand that emergencies happen, so if you absolutely must step away from your meet duty, please find someone to relieve your position first.

6) All volunteers are expected to check in by 8:30am. Those with volunteer jobs with an earlier arrival will be noted or identified.

7) We may contact you to modify your volunteer job at any time.
