You must be a member of West Howard Swim Club to be a member of the Dive Team.     

Welcome to the 2025 summer dive season. The wait is over and registration for our West Howard Swim Club Wahoos Dive Team is officially open! Each season the Wahoos dive team looks to continue its traditions and make new ones for all of our returning and new families.  From the newest of springboard enthusiast to seasoned veterans, we encourage all members to join 5-18, regardless of experience.

Our dive team is comprised of experienced, supportive and fun-loving coaches who are guaranteed to develop your diving skills with organized practices and drills comprised of personal skill and team building development.

Hello West Howard family! I can't tell you how excited I am to be back at good 'ol West Howard to be coaching again!  I started my diving career here in 1986 and continued diving until I was 18. I dove year round for Montgomery Dive club and Dive Hopkins in Baltimore.  During my college years I was a member of the Towson University Swimming & Diving team as a lady Tiger.  Some of my biggest accomplishments are Towson's Female Athlete of the Year and NCAA qualifier.  We have built an incredibly strong dive team and have continued to dominate our division!

** Any new diver who wants to try the dive team out may participate in 1 TRIAL practice before registering **

Dive Team Registration:   

• Dive Team registration fee is $200 which includes AAU insurance and a team Tshirt.
• There are six dual dive meets (3 home/3 away) and a new Synchro meet (yay!) and Championships (for qualifiers) per CMDL minimum score and qualification requirements
• Parents will need to provide medical information (e.g. physician name, phone numbers) to complete the online registration.
• Children 12 and under must pass the WHSC administered Swim Test in order to use the diving boards and fully participate on the team. No exceptions.
• All divers and parents must abide by the Dive Team Code of conduct signed upon registration.  Furthermore CMDL meet Code of Conduct* will be in force during all dive meets.  Please see www.cmdldiving.org if you wish to see more about CMDL.
• *There will be no exceptions to the Code of Conduct for participation this year for divers who cannot pass the WHSC swim test - everyone must pass.
• Team swim suit and caps can be purchased at Cy’s Swimwear of Catonsville, the swim suit vendor.  If you are calling in the order or stopping by, be sure to let them know you are a Member of West Howard Swim Club and they will extend our team discount. 
• Parents will be required to volunteer for 4 volunteer dive meet or dive team helper jobs during the dive season.  Families NOT fulfilling their 4 positions will be charged $100 per unfulfilled position.   Jobs will be posted on the board at the pool and/or through SignUp Genius.

Registration will be done completely online at www.westhowardwahoos.com  Your children are encouraged to participate on either swin or dive or both teams  All ability levels are accepted (must pass WHSC swim test if 12 or under).
