My name is Melissa Box and I am the head coach for the Castlewood Dragons. I grew up in Flower Mound and started swimming on Wellington Sharks Swim Team at a young age. In high school I swam for FMHS and also played water polo. 

I began my coaching career as a junior coach at age 11 and worked my way up, coaching many age groups and taking over as Assistant Head Coach while with the Wellington Sharks. In 2014 I made the switch to Castlewood to help establish the team & was so happy that I did! This is my 7th Summer with Castlewood & I love the community of this team! 

I recently left education to stay home with my babies, but taught Kindergarten for 7 years. It's been so special being home with my kids! I love to spend time with my family, play outside, exercise & cook. 

I am thrilled to be back at Castlewood for another fun summer! The swim community, friendships and values that the sport instills in it’s swimmers are life-long and I hope each child feels a part of that! I can’t wait to get to know your children and help them become better swimmers! 

My name is Sarah Lyons and I am thrilled to be assistant coaching for the Castlewood Dragons Swim Team again this year!

Returning Dragons will all know me from previous seasons. I have been swimming for Castlewood since the team was first created! I started junior coaching in 2019 and have stayed on staff ever since!  For those of you who don’t know me, I have a love for both kids and swimming and my goal is always to encourage swimmers with positive reinforcement, individual attention with a positive and FUN attitude.

In addition to being a Castlewood Dragon, I also swim for my High School Swim Team and have had the honor of representing them at State for several years now. This year, I received Academic All State honors and next year I am excited to serve as a team captain! My other passions include basketball, tennis, and babysitting. In my free time I love spending time with my church youth group and raising money with Dragons Give Back for local charities!

Every season of Dragons Swim is always filled with so much skill building and fun memory making  opportunities and I know this season will be BEST ever!
