All City and Awards Banquet

All City will be at Aqua Club on Tuesday August 1st for any of our swimmers who move on from Southern.

We have reservations at Puerto Vallarta in Twin Lakes this Thursday July 27th after Southern (approximately 8:30pm) to celebrate the swimmers who made it that far, and to await the results to find out who will be moving on to All City. We encourage all to attend. The time of the reservations will be adjusted as we approach the end of the meet.

It is important developmentally for our youth to learn to celebrate accomplishments and grieve disappointments in a healthy manner. We have found doing this as a team, and hearing from our older swimmers who have experienced both, helps our younger swimmers put these races into perspective and process in a way that is positive. Older swimmers also recieve comfort and support from their friends. Humans are social creatures. Remember, only 6 swimmers in each event move on to All City from both North and South combined, 6 out of hundreds of swimmers! Just being at Southern and in the top 12 is still quite an accomplishment!

Wednesday August 2nd is our Banquet! Doors will open at 5pm for dinner and social hour. Dinner will be picnic style this year, families bring your own, or place an order with the club.  Awards will start at 6pm sharp! Senior Parents, make sure that you have your senior letters ready to go!. At the conclusion of awards we will have cake and ice cream, the 12 and under coin toss, followed by the annual 13 over watermelon football contest.

Penguin sleepover immediately following the banquet. Doors lock at 9pm. 12 and under allowed to stay until midnight. 13 overs may be picked up at midnight, or 7am. Please fill out the sleepover form ahead of time
