All City Awards Banquet and Beyond

All City is this Tuesday August 1st at Aqua Club at 18512 58th Ave NE, Kenmore  WA

We need 1 first half timer and 1 second half timer! Please email me ASAP if you can fill either of these positions

There will be a shuttle provided from the parking areas. It is recomended that you drop off your swimmer, then proceed to one of the designated parking lots.

There will be bleacher seating, as well as universal standing/viewing area. T-shirts will be $20, limited sizes available. There will also be souvenir heat sheets for $5. Cash, check, venmo and zelle accepted

Awards Banquet is Wednesday August 2nd. Picnic style dinner and social hour begins at 5, awards at 6pm. Senior Parents, make sure you have your senior letters ready!! Immediately following awards we will have our 12u coin toss, followed by the annual 13 over watermelon football game (so all swimmers need their suits!). 

We will be locking the pool doors at 9pm, all swimmers are welcome to stay until midnight. 13 and over swimmers are allowed to sleep over with permission form. Pick up from the sleep over is 7am sharp. Those staying over should bring a pool floaty, and sleeping bag (it gets cold around 2am!). There will be several adult chaperones who will be staying up all night with the kids.

Water Polo Season begins next week! We have had lots of questions about kids missing practices and games. This is a very relaxed league and season. Many teams will "borrow" players to fill out team numbers during games. We are expecting kids to miss practices and even games. This is a teaching league, and all about fun and staying in shape. The season also ends the week that high school practices start, so there is no conflict with back to school. We need more players! Please sign up ASAP.

We will try to have any missing ribbons in the file box by the awards banquet. We are trying to fill any missing ribbons from other teams with ribbons from TL. Thank you to Katrina for compiling a list for us of the missing ribbons! Every family need to empty their file folder by the close of the pool season. We will be throwing away all ribbons, photos and trophies that are left behind. With (fingers crossed) upcoming renovations there is simply no place for the team to continue to store left behind items. The folder box will be out during the awards banquet. Thank you for your help with getting all the items in the box disbursed and to their rightful homes!

If you read this far, I want to say THANK YOU. This is my last email as manager. I have reached the end of my commitment to the team and am slipping back into retirement. Thank you for letting me serve you one more season. The team still needs new managers to step forward, the sooner the better. Team reps will need to be present at a meeting for the GSSSL in the fall.
