If you have a passion for swimming and want to increase your endurance and ability, the Anderson Area YMCA Makos is for you! We are a competitive USA and YMCA Swim Team comprised of several different swim groups, starting with our first time/beginner swim team athletes (Blue) all the way up to our most competitive and elite athletes (Platinum).

Minimum requirements to join the team are the ability to swim a length (25 yards) freestyle and a length (25 yards) backstroke, confidently, and competently. Readiness to join the team is judged through a swim assessment performed by a swim team coach.

All athletes must be Anderson Area YMCA members.
