Strong 2nd Day of JAG for Coyotes

The Coyotes improved to 11th place by the end of the afternoon session as the younger swimmers took the stage for the first time.  Leading the 12&unders were several excellent swims by Alexa Bird who placed 1st in the 100 breast, 5th in the 200 free and 9th in the 100 back.  Tommy King and Caroline Needell were both double medal winners, Tommy with 3rd in the 400 free and 5th in the 100 breast, and Caroline with a speedy 5th in the 100 breast and 7th in the 200 free.  Bailey Wilhelms medaled with an 8th in the 100 back and placed in the top 16 in his 400 free.  Rhys Empey also had 2 top 16 finishes winning 9th in the 100 breast and 13th in the 400 free.  Other top 16 finishers included, Morgan Messenger (15th in the 100 back), Carter Ferrara (16th in the 100 back), Chris Lu (13th in the 100 breast), Jonathan Cheng (14th in the 400 free), and Tahlia Vayser (11th in the 100 breast).  The girls 11-12 relay added points by placing 16th in the 400 Medley relay, while the 11-12 boys medaled with a 3rd place finish in their 400 Medley relay.

The 13&ups saw 6 swimmers return to finals this evening led by Kellie Fecarotta swimming in the championship final for an 8th place in the 100 fly.  BIRTHDAY GIRL Paige Pratt finished 9th in the 400 free, Taylore King 14th in the 200 breast, Kyle Johnston 12th in the 200 breast, Sarah Niemi 14th in the 100 fly, and Aaron Magazine 15th in the 400 free.  The 13-14 boys also placed 13th in the 400 Medley relay.
