Elite Otters Scott and Otteson Selected For Western Zone All Star Team

PALM SPRINGS, CA – June 27, 2022 – Southern California Swimming announced today that Daniela Scott and Ava Otteson were selected to compete in the Western Zone (Long Couse Meters) Age Group Championship. The opportunity to represent Southern California Swimming is a stepping stone to greater achievements. SCS criteria for being chosen was,  “Fast swimmers who will be great teammates.”

Junior Age Group Coach Laura commented, “I’m so proud of Dani and Ava! It’s a huge honor to be chosen for this team of SoCal All Stars. Both girls show up and work incredibly hard at every practice, and continue to drop time at nearly every meet. They deserve to be recognized as 2 of SoCal’s fastest Age Group Swimmers.”

 

About Western Zone Age Group Championships:

The meet will be August 3-6, 2022 in Elk Grove, CA. Southern California Swimming selects up to 48 swimmers to the Western Zone Age Group Meet to compete against teams from LSC’s representing Alaska, Arizona, Central California, Colorado, Hawaii, Inland Empire, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Pacific Swimming, Pacific Northwest, San Diego Imperial, Sierra Nevada, Snake River, Utah, and Wyoming. To be eligible, a swimmer must have earned at least three JAG times and a current member of Southern California Swimming.
