2008 SC 3A High School State Championships

Congratulations to Phil Mustert for repeating as State Champion in the boy’s 200 IM with a time of 1:57.4 at the 2008 SC High School 3A State Championships.  Phil also placed 2nd in the 500 free with a time of 4:40.0. 

Lauren Campbell placed 3rd in the girl’s 100 butterfly at 1:00.4 and 4th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.0 at her first 3A HS State Championship.

The times swum by both Phil and Lauren were personal bests.  Their performances at the high school state meet were just the first step of what is in store for the Riptide swimmers this year.  Through dedication, desire and determination, a swimmer's goals can be achieved. Great job Phil and Lauren!
