Riptides Racing Team Heats up at SC State Championships The South Carolina Swimming State Championships were hosted February 12-15 at the Westside Aquatic Center in Greenville, SC. The four-day event hosted nearly 800 swimmers from around the Palmetto State. For the locally based Riptides Racing Team, the SC Swimming State Championships went extremely well. Riptides Racing Team hosts Winter Invitational The Riptides Racing Team hosted their Winter Invitational swimming meet Jan 22-24 at the “Pepper” Geddings Recreation Center. Nearly 160 swimmers from the Carolinas braved the cold and rainy weather to compete for another chance to qualify to respective State Championship swim meets. Riptides Racing Team Dives into 2016 The locally-based Riptides Racing Team began the second half of the short-course swim season with the final meet of the 12/Under Grand Prix Series. Twenty members of the locally-based swim team competed at the meet which took place at the Orange County Sportsplex. Over 600 athletes from the Palmetto State attended the four-day event. The locally-based Myrtle Beach Riptides swim team sent ten athletes to compete.
