Carey Hilliard's Invite

Carey Hilliard’s Invite was a great event for our first official meet as the Myrtle Beach Riptides.  Lauren Campbell and Megan Kingsley each left the meet with the highpoint award for their respective age-groups.

There was a nearly 60% improvement in personal times from the meet.  Leading the charge were Chad Bateson and Megan Prouty, who went 100% improvement.  Chad even led the team with the single largest improvement by 20 seconds in the 200 free.  Jesse Perl was next with a 13 second improvement in the 500 free.

Following the Saturday session of the meet, it was great for the entire team to go out to dinner on the Savannah River and then participate in the scavenger hunt.  Thanks to Kim Perl for organizing both functions.

Great job to all the Riptides for a great first meet.  Now our athletes are preparing for the MPSC Grand Prix and the Augusta Invite.  To view the complete results, click HERE.   Click HERE to read a brief about the Riptides in the Myrtle Beach Sun News.
