Augusta Fall Invite

The Riptides sent seven members to compete at the 2008 Augusta Fall Invite.

Garrett Blais, 15-18, competing in his first meet as a member of the Riptides, demonstrated tremendous improvement from the recent high school swim season. 

Julia Campbell, 11-12, competed in the Senior events and earned a best time and 5 th place overall in the 14-Under 1,650-yd freestyle and three personal best times.

Lauren Campbell, 13-14, competing on Sunday only had a huge impact scoring 4 event wins out of 5 events in the 13-14 200-yd freestyle, 100-yd Butterfly, 100-yd Backstroke and 1,650-yd freestyle.  Lauren improved to a mere 6 seconds from an NCSA Junior National q-time in the 1,650-free.

Megan Kingsley, 11-12, earned a team-leading 5 event wins competing in the 14-Under 400-yd Individual Medley (IM), 1000-yd freestyle, 200-yd Butterfly, 200-yd Backstroke and 200-yd Breaststroke. Kingsley also swam to six additional Top-5 swims competing in Senior events.
  
Keenan Lineback, 15-18, raced to 3 event wins in the Senior 1,000-yd freestyle, 200-yd Butterfly and 500-yd freestyle. Lineback raced her way into the Top-10 in eight additional events.
 

Phil Mustert, 15-18, earned the top-spot in the Senior 1,000-yd freestyle and eleven Top-10 finishes for the weekend.

Jesse Perl, 13-14, picked up four Top-10’s and 8 personal best times at the meet.  Jesse’s largest improvement was in the 1,650-yd free, dropping almost 22 seconds.
