MB Riptides Swimmers Among the Nation’s Best in Pool, School
Several swimmers of the locally-based Myrtle Beach Riptides swimming team have been recognized for their achievements in both their competitive swimming and in the classroom.

USA-Swimming ranks swimmers based on individual performances within specific age-groups in a program called the IM-Extreme. Swimmers earn a rank based on their cumulative time in the 200-meter Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and the 400-meter Freestyle and Individual Medley events.

Additionally, USA-Swimming recognizes swimmers in the 10th-12th grade in the classroom through the Scholastic All-American program. Swimmers must achieve at least a 3.5 GPA and achieve USA-S Junior National Championship “B” standards.
