Final Results of the Long Course State Meet
The Myrtle Beach Riptides finished the South Carolina Long Course State Meet and Finale with best times and top places. Megan Kingsley led the team by finishing 1st in the state with the most points in the 15 and over girls category. Keenan Lineback finished 3rd place in the state and Lauren Campbell finished 4th in the state, both girls competed in the 15 and over age group. The Riptides girls came in 2nd in the 15 and over group. The Riptides team placed 13th out of 20 teams in South Carolina.
The whole state team had incredible swims during the four day meet in Columbia. Sahara Lord had a best time on Sunday with an over 1 second drop in her 50 fly time. Chad Bateson dropped 25 seconds off his 800 free time and came in 16th place. Eddie Bateson dropped 20 seconds off his best 800 free time and came in 17th place. Lauren Campbell came in 5th in the 100 back with a best of the season time and also placed 7th in the 200 fly. Megan Kingsley won the 200 fly in her age group. Keenan Lineback placed 2nd in the 200 fly on Sunday. Julia Campbell came in 15th in the 200 fly and dropped 1.6 seconds off her best time. She also had a best of the season time in her 200 breast. Congratulations to everybody on a great finish to a long, hard swim meet.
