SSL Meet #1

SSL Meet #1:

The Summer Swim League kicked off June 21 with Summer Swim League Meet #1.  Twenty-one Riptides swimmers competed in the event; several competed in their first-ever meet and did an outstanding job.  While most swimmers competed in their correct age-groups, several Riptides had to "age-up" one or even two groups because they were too fast! 

Jaden-Grace Anderson competed in her first meet in the 25 free and backstroke events.

Mackenzie Angwin, competing as a 15-18, won the 50 free and placed 3^rdin the 100 backstroke.

Connor Campbell swam to 3^rdplaces in the 25 fly and 50 free and 5^thplaces in the 50 backstroke and breaststroke.

Andi Churchill, competing as a 15-18, won the 100 IM and 100 backstroke and placed 5^thin the 50 breaststroke.

Danielle Flaherty, competing as 15-18, placed 3^rdin the 50 free and 2^ndin the 100 backstroke.

Jake Flaherty earned 6^thplace in the 20 fly and backstroke, 7^thplace in the 50 free and 8^thplace in the 50 breaststroke.

Macey Gilson swam to 7^thplace in the 100 backstroke and also competed in the 100 IM, 50 free and 50 breaststroke.

Tristan Lee placed 6^thin the 50 breaststroke, 8^thin the 25 butterfly, 9^thin the 50 free and 10^thin the 50 backstroke.

Richie Lusardi raced to 2^ndplace finishes in the 50 backstroke and 50 breaststroke and 5^thplace finishes in the 25 butterfly and 50 free.

Sophia Lusardi was 4^thin the 25 butterfly, 5^thin the 25 backstroke, 6^thin the 25 breaststroke and 8^thin the 25 free.

Victor Lusardi raced to 7^thplace in the 25 free and 25 backstroke.

Caroline Lyons finished 3^rdin the 25 free and 7^thin the 25 backstroke.

Jessica Lyons swam to 10^thin the backstroke and 11^thin the free.

Olivia Lyons raced in the 25 free, 25 backstroke and 25 butterfly.

Sophia McKanna won 3 events – 25 fly, 25 free and 25 backstroke – and placed 3^rdin the 25 breaststroke.

Kylie McWhorter took 5^thplace in the 25 free, 8^thplaces in the 25 fly and 25 breast, and 12^thplace in the 25 backstroke.

Peyton McWhorter won the top spot in the 50 backstroke, placed 2^ndin the 25 fly and 50 free, and 5^thin the 50 breaststroke.

Yianni Paraschos, competing as 11-12, placed 4^thplace in the 100 IM, 100 backstroke and 50 breaststroke and 5^thin the 50 free.

McKenzie Price earned 9^thin the 25 free and 11^thin the 25 backstroke.

Lexi Roberts, competing as 11-12, raced to 7^thin the 50 free, 8^thin the 100 IM, 9^thin the 100 backstroke and 11^thin the 50 breaststroke.

Jacob Sessions swam to 14^thin the 50 free and 15^thin the 50 backstroke.
