Riptides Compete at Grand Prix #2
Eleven Riptides' made the trip to Charleston for the second event on the Lowcountry Grand Prix circuit. Swimmers continue to compete in events for the first time and improve from previous swims. Below are the highlights.
Dayton Busse competed in the 50 free and 50 back and matched his previous best times.
Jordan Faircloth earned best times in the 25 free and 25 backstroke events.
Jacob Flaherty swam to best times in the 50 backstroke and 50 breaststroke.
Kailey Habib earned best times in the 50 backstroke and 100 freestyle.
Tucker Hendrix joined Kailey in best times in the 50 backstroke and 100 freestyle.
Matthew Key picked up a best time in the 50 backstroke and competed in the 50 breaststroke for the first time.
Hannah McDonough swam to a best time in the 50 backstroke and also competed in the 25 butterfly and 50 breaststroke for the first time.
Sophia McKanna swam a personal best in the 50 backstroke and competed in new events - 100 freestyle and 100 IM.
Jacob Sessions had the largest improvement of over 8 seconds in the 50 freestyle. Jacob also competed for the first time in the 50 backstroke.
Mackenzie Squires earned a best time in the 50 backstroke and a first-time swim in the 100 IM.
Chloe Stampfle improved her 50 free by over 5 seconds and competed in the 50 back and 50 breaststroke for the first time.
Congratulations to all the Riptides' swimmers. Next for the Riptides will be Grand Prix #3 in December.
