Riptides in College UPDATE

College Swimming News:
Two of the Riptides’ three current collegiate swimmers were in competition over the weekend.  In California, Keenan Lineback (junior at U of San Diego) led the Torero’s with an event win in the 400-Individual Medley (4:24) and placed 3^rd in the 200 butterfly (2:04) and the 1000 free (10:15) in a dual meet with UCLA Bruins.  **UPDATE - Lineback was named MPSF Athlete of the week for Oct 21.

On the east coast in New York, Barbara Long (freshman at Renneslaer Poly Tech) took the top spot in the 500 free (5:30) and 1000 free (11:30) in a dual meet with Rochester Poly Tech.  Long earned a best time in the 100 backstroke (1:08).  Long also anchored a relay and which was able to secure 3^rd place.  Long was named Female Athlete of the Week in the Liberty League Conference for Oct 21.

Lauren Campbell (sophomore at GA Southern) will be in competition this weekend.
