My swim career started with Mommy and me lessons at the age of 5. After adapting quickly to the basic fundamentals of swimming, my parents looked for a team that would allow me to progress. We found BREA Aquatics where I started in the AGS Group (Age Group Select). A year being into the team, I had qualified for the SCS travel teams from 2011-2014 that were held in Mexico, Canada and various locations in the United States. Because of these meets, I was able to gain international experience at a young age. In 2012, I moved up to Coach Jim Johnson’s National Group where I earned my Jr National cuts at the age of 13 and National times by the age of 15 in the 100/200 Butterfly. In 2014, as a freshman I had won the 100 butterfly at CIF. By my Junior year I had won both of my Individual events (200 IM and 100 butterfly) and broke the CIF and State record. Leading into the summer before my senior year, I qualified and attended the 2016 US Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska in the 100 Butterfly. As I continued to train at BREA, I achieved my personal best of a 52.54 in the 100 fly at Junior Nationals and earned a 3rd place medal. This time provided me with many college offers to which I ultimately chose the University of Michigan. During my time at Michigan, I was a part of the BIG Ten Championship team, and earned All Academic Big Ten Honors. I also competed on the Bolivian National Team (2018-2020). In 2019 I was a top 8 finalist at the Southern American Games and ranked top 30 at the World Championships in South Korea. After Covid and graduating from college I took a break from swimming to pursue my Masters Degree in Business Management. After earning my Masters, I decided to get back into swimming with Coach Johnson at BREA Aquatics in the Summer of 2022. During this time, I had requalifed for the Bolivian National team and broke National records in the 200 Breast and 200 IM which allowed me to be selected for the 2024 World Championship in Budapest, Hungary.
