Volunteer Hours:
As a reminder, each LVSC family is responsible for 10 volunteer hours every 6 months. 10 hours must be completed during the January – June time period and then again from July through December. Any hours not completed will be charged at a $25 per hour rate at the end of the six months. ** If any family is interested in paying a discounted rate of $200 at the beginning of any six- month period, they will receive credit for all 10 hours and will not be required to complete any physical hours for that 6- month time period. Please email [email protected] for more information or to set up your payment.
** LVSC will be hosting our annual Memorial Meet Invite Friday May 24th – Sunday May 26th. This is a great opportunity to complete any hours your family may be missing! Please watch for the job sign- up to be sent out soon!
Non- Swimming Achievements and Accomplishments:
LVSC’s goal is to create healthy, well- rounded, creative, and positive swimmers who excel not only in the water but in the community as well. In each newsletter, we hope to highlight swimmers who have been recognized for their achievements outside of the pool. If your swimmer has an accomplishment you would like highlighted in the next newsletter, please email [email protected]. Examples: academic honor roll, scholarships, citizen or community involvement awards, other athletic or sports awards/ medals/ recognitions.

Suggestions/ Questions/ Ideas for the Board:
LVSC is continually working on creating a positive, inclusive, and welcoming team environment and we always encourage our families to become active and involved. If you have any suggestions, questions, or ideas that you would like heard/ discussed at any of our monthly board meetings, please email or speak to any board member. We will address and discuss all inquiries at our regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
Dryland:
Increasing swimmer dryland attendance, focus, and commitment is a goal we are continuing to strive towards in 2024! We know that the dedication and work our swimmers’ put into their dryland training will strengthen their confidence, ability, and endurance in the water!
Competitive Aquatic Supply and Speedo Partnership:
Reminder, you can now purchase all of your LVSC team apparel, equipment, competition suits, and more directly from Competitive Aquatic Supply. You can access the team store directly from our team unify website, or visit the Competitive Aquatic Supply website chose team stores LVSC. All speedo items purchased through the site have a 20% built in discount. CAS will also be on deck during our Memorial Meet Invite for team apparel, practice equipment, and more!
Upcoming College Information Meeting:
We will be hosting a college information meeting for any high- school aged swimmers and their families who are interested in learning more about college swimming. Current and former LVSC swimmers and LVSC coaches will discuss the recruitment experiences, the day- to- day life of a college athlete, what to expect from the recruitment process, and what coaches are “looking for” in potential athletes.
Upcoming Volunteer Trainings:
We will be hosting a few upcoming volunteer trainings for any families who may be new to our team or new to competitive swimming and would like to learn more about our commonly needed volunteer positions at meets, such as; timing, timing coordinator, meet marshalling, volunteer coordination, and hospitality. Please watch for more details coming soon!
