FUNDRAISING INFORMATION

Black Hills Gold Swimming is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization and in order to offset operation costs, we rely heavily on fundraising to help keep seasonal dues as low as possible. Each swimmer on the Black Hills Gold Swim Team is responsible for $325 fundraising obligation per year with a maximum of $600/family.  There are several fundraising options available to cover your club your obligation or you may personally make a donation to team to cover your fundraising obligation.  All mandatory fundraising obligations must be fulfilled by January 31st of each year.  Any families not fulfilling their full obligation will be invoiced for the remaining balance on their regular February invoiceFundraising obligation balances must be paid in full before families can register for another season.  Each family can pick and choose how they fulfill their obligation, the team offers the following programs for fundraising.

Fundraising Options

SAFEWAY GIFT CARDS:  5% of what’s loaded to your card goes towards your fundraising goal

Our team is registered to earn 5% of all sales at Safeway for gas, pharmacy and groceries.  To participate, let a board member or a coach know that you would like a card or cards.  Before you begin shopping at Safeway take your card to Customer Service Counter or a cashier and tell them you would like to put money on a reloadable gift card.  You may load up to $450 at a time. Shop, and use your gift card as payment.  It’s easy and adds up fast!  You may have multiple cards registered to your family so friends, neighbors, grandparents, etc can all earn money to be applied to your fundraising commitment. You will earn 5% of whatever is loaded to your card throughout the season. 

SILENT AUCTION:  100% of basket sales go towards your fundraising goal

We host a silent auction gift basket raffle at our home swim meet on November 11-12.  This auction is something people look forward to each year.  Create as many baskets as you would like and 100% of what your basket made will go directly to your fundraising goal.  Keep in mind you can auction off gift certificates to businesses, fun themed baskets, food & alcohol items, etc.  Get creative!  Swimmers from other towns LOVE our auction.  Also it is a great opportunity for people to buy Christmas gifts! 

GUN RAFFLE: 100% of your ticket sales go towards your fundraising goal

Selling raffle tickets for a 22-250 Ruger and a Shotgun.  We will have separate tickets for each gun.  Ticket prices have not been set yet.  We will begin selling tickets in November and drawing will be held in January

BEEF RAFFLE: $7.00 of each ticket sold goes to your fundraising goal

Selling raffle tickets for a quarter beef.  Tickets will be sold starting in November.  Raffle will be held in January.  These tickets will be sold through January.  We will notify when tickets are printed and ready to be sold.

ADVERTISING:  Please see attached sheet for information and deadlines

Athletes can ask businesses to sponsor the team.  A portion of this sponsorship is applied to the individual fundraising obligation.
