About Us

Swim Excellence Academy (SEA) is East County San Diego’s newest competitive swim team, now entering our third season as a club. We’re dedicated to developing athletes who strive to reach their full potential—both in the pool and beyond.

As Coach Kevin says, “Swimming—the hardest work you will ever LOVE.” And our swimmers truly live that motto. Their passion for the sport shines through in their discipline, determination, and relentless effort.

At SEA, swimming is more than just a sport—it’s a foundation for character. The lessons our athletes learn in the water help shape them into confident, resilient individuals and role models within our community.

Mission Statement

Swim Excellence Academy strives to operate as a club that promotes and financially supports swimming as a competitive sport for the youth of our community. The corporation is a non-profit corporation, organized solely for educational and charitable purposes. The specific purposes of this corporation are to:

• Organize, operate and maintain a youth swimming program at the highest level

• Promote educational opportunities, while developing citizenship and leadership for San Diego County’s youth through participation in swimming

• Extend opportunities for youth through swimming

• Promote swimming in San Diego County, and

• Engage generally in any cause to encourage the cultural, social, educational and mental welfare of young swimmers.
