2023 Long Course Southeastern Championship Meet

MSA really showed up and showed out at the Southeastern Championship Meet with our qualifying group of swimmers (16 athletes).

It was an exhilarating meet with the fastest athletes in our LSC (Tennessee, Alabama, Florida Panhandle). MSA athletes stayed tough swimming among large teams and universities such as Alabama, Tennessee, Milligan, and Carson-Newman.

Our 12&U Boys included Rowan, Rhylan, and Eli and swam 10 events, most of which were personal records and first experiences at this level!

Our 12&U Girls included Audrey and Michaela, who ended up scoring into the Top 10 placement for their Age Division with some outstanding races!

MSA 13&Over Boys included Milo, Yuki, Oliver, and Will, who all overcame many challenges such as illness, injuries, and THREE 200-fly races in a single day!

MSA 13&Over Girls included Madison, Annabelle, Hannah, Melia, Maddie, Isabelle, and Emilie who all had strong swims each day, almost always swimming personal records and making it to Finals.

Several MSA Top 5 Records were set including the following:

Annabelle- 200 Breaststroke, 200 Backstroke

Melia- 50 Backstroke, 50 Freestyle

Oliver- 1500 Freestyle

Will- 50 Breaststroke

MSA earned 9th place for 10&Under Girls, along with 24th overall, just 3-points behind The University of Alabama.
