2024 SCY Winter Southeastern Championship

MSA has completed our 2024 SCY Winter Southeastern Championship! This is our Big Team Event we work towards each Fall/Spring. We had an incredible amount of success amongst our individual qualifiers and our relays we put together!

Southeastern Championships are composed of teams who qualify athletes for this fast meet from all of Tennessee, Alabama, and the Panhandle of Florida. At these meets you can oftentimes expect to compete alongside (or be) Top-Ranked Age Group Athletes, future college athletes, college athletes, Olympic-Trial Qualifiers, and National Team members!

10&Under

Haylee, Mckinley, Grace, Grace, Anne, Rhylan, Jonathan, Jack, Evan, and Willem were our Girl and Boy athletes for our 10&Under Age Group at Winter SES!

Our 10&Under Girls finished up 9th with Grace placing 16th and 17th on individual events, and this age groups’ girls placing 7th and 6th on relays!

The boys finished 6th in their age group with Rhylan placing 5th, 17th, 17th, 7th, 10th, and 23rd in his individual races, Jonathan placing 29th, 38th, 29th, and 18th individually, Jack placing 13th, 31st, and 15th, and Evan with 14th, 8th, 9th, 25th, and 15th place swims! The boys relays also placed 5th and 8th in their age group!

Rhylan was our 10&U top individual point earner, earning 55 points!

11-12

Audrey, Michaela, Blakely, Kylie, Kayden, Fritz, Elijah, Noah, Ethan, Ryan, and Franki were our Girl and Boy swimmers for our 11-12 Age Group at Winter SES!

Michaela 24th, 32nd, and 14th placed swims, and Blakely had 13th, 19th, 18th, 17th, 21st, and 12th placed swims, along with these girls placing 10th and 11th overall on relays!

Our 11-12 Boys also had great feats at this meet with Kayden placing 19th and 37th, Fritz placing 25th and 20th, Elijah placing 30th, Ethan placing 34th and 38th, Franki finishing in 36th, 43rd, and 32nd individually. These boys also placed 13th in both the Free and Medley Relay!

13-14

Avianna, Annabelle, Emma, Bella, Kinsey, Leland, Trenton, Jacob, Kyle, Oliver, and Henry were our Girl and Boy Qualifiers for our 13-14 Age Group at Winter SES.

Our 13-14 Girls placed 8th with Avianna finishing 14th, 10th, 30th, and Annabelle finishing 5th, 4th, 9th, 10th, 17th, and 3rd individually after some incredibly difficult turn-arounds between events. These girls also placed 8th and 10th on Free and Medley Relays for some great team points!

Our Boys had Leland placing 34th and 17th, Kyle swimming the 1650 scoring 19th, along with Oliver placing 30th after dealing with illness. These boys Medley Relay finished 10th with all swimmers competing and performing best times under pressure!

15&Over

Finn, Meli, Maddie, Isabelle, Emilie, Jordan, Sam, Yuki, and William were our Girl and Boy athletes for our 15&Over Age Group at Winter SES.

Our Girls really showed up with Finn placing 27th and 25th, Meli with 22nd, 45th, and 12th place swims, Maddie with 40th, 56th, 24th, 59th place swims, and Isabelle with a 23rd, 42nd, 74th, 31st, and 14th placed swim. These ladies also placed 19th and 18th in Relays!

Sam was our only 15&O Boy with individual swims placing 19th, 17th, 13th, 40th, 29th, and 13th individually. Sam also captured four MSA Top-5 Records at this meet! The Boys’ Relays finished 18th and 16th with some great young talent leading the way!

We are incredibly proud of all of our athletes for their hard work, consistency, and eagerness leading into this meet! We came together with our individual swimmers and relay swimmers to help lead the path to greatness for years to come! Our non-qualifiers should feel proud for helping elevate their teammates in practice and add value to what it means to be MSA!

We look forward to the remainder of Championship Meets (Best of The South & ISCA Senior Cup) for some, and off-season work for others to repeat and grow our successes for our 2024 LCM Summer Southeastern Championship in July!
