Meet Format:

1.  Parents will enter directly into the concourse doors or through the lobby.  No parents are allowed on the pool deck unless they are acting as a counter for their swimmer.  Those parents should check-in at the coaches, volunteer, and swimmer entrance prior to the event.

 

2. The building will open 15 minutes prior to the beginning of warm-ups: (MSA WARMUP INFO IN CHART)

  • Prelim Warm-ups: Warm-up #1 7:00-7:30, Warm-up #2 7:30-8:00, Dive and Pace Lanes 8:00-8:20, meet starts @ 8:30 am

  • Finals Warm-ups 4:00-4:50 pm, with controlled lanes from 4:30-4:50, meet starts @ 5:00 pm

Once assigned warm-ups has finished at 8:00, the Legacy pool will be open for general warm-up/ warm-down throughout the prelims and Finals sessions. 

 

3. Open sessions will have open warm-ups, with designated sprint and pace lanes that last 20 minutes of the session. The Legacy pool will be open for warm-up and warm-down throughout the meet.  During warm-up session #1 only the HSA groups will use the legacy pool for warm-up.

 

4. Heat sheets will not be for sale.  They are attached and will be available on the MSA and HSA website.

 

5. Remind your swimmers that no folding or camp chairs are allowed in the facility, as well as hard-sided coolers.  Stadium chairs are fine.

 

6. A concession stand will be available throughout the meet. The concession stand is cashless.

 

7. HSA will be livestreaming the meet via YouTube!  Go to the HSA website for the link (swimhsa.org), or follow HSA Livestream on YouTube. 

 

8. The 1500 FR will all be run fast to slow, alternating girl’s and boy’s heats. Swimmers must provide a timer and a counter.

 

9.  All events, except for the 50's, will be run in a chase start format during prelims.  Odd heats will begin at the window end, which will also be the main start end for finals.  Even heats and all 50’s will begin at the Flag end of the pool. 

 

10. All parking will be on-site. The small parking lot directly behind the Legacy pool is reserved for facility employees and key meet personnel. The front parking lot, and the large back parking lot are available for general parking.

 

11.  Saturn Sports (formerly First Place Athletics) will be onsite for all of your swim apparel needs.

 

12.  If you are planning on hanging a banner this weekend, please read the following:  Banners can only be hung from the wall behind the chair back section of the spectator seating.  You can only attach the banners to the vertical steel posts.  Please do not use the horizontal wires to secure your banners.

 

13.  Check-in for all deck seeded events are due by the beginning of the session.

 

14.  Athlete locker rooms are located on the deck, as well as at the diving board end of the legacy pool.  Restrooms for coaches, officials and volunteers are in the main concourse area, the set off the Legacy pool deck closest to the competition pool, as well as in the Legacy pool lobby.  There are also several “family” restrooms for coaches and officials located near the Therapy pool, and in the Legacy pool lobby.  Please encourage your athletes to not use the concourse or family restrooms, and stick to the locker rooms that are athlete specific.

Team Gear:

Please wear a regular suit (no tie-backs) and goggles. If you choose to wear a swim cap for competition, it must be a MSA swim cap.  Coaches will have additional caps available at the meet that can be billed to your account.  Let’s really do our best to look like a team by wearing our MSA gear.

Heat Sheets:

Heat Sheets and other meet info will be added to the events page as I receive them. They are also available on the host’s website and Meet Mobile.

If your swimmer wishes to have their events written on them, please do so before arriving at the pool for each session.

Additional Notes: IMPORTANT

  • No folding or camping chairs allowed in facility

  • Emergency services will be on site at the meet

  • Concessions will be available throughout the meet

  • All parking will be on-site

Remember, all swimmers, parents, and coaches are representing MSA so let’s put forth an excited and friendly demeanor.  We encourage parents and friends attending the meet to sit together to help support our athletes together!
