Announcements:

  • Monday, June 23rd, LC practice will be from 6:45-8:00am. We will also have our 3rd mini tri from 4:30-6:30pm. See below normal information for mini tri details.

  • Monday, June 30th, is the official date set for an MSA long-course tradition—Joe Wheeler play-day (we always need more parents/drivers to carpool!)

 

Long Range Planning:

Please note the schedule of the following events which will take place several months from now. Signup deadlines are generally 2 weeks before the event.

July 12: SE BSL Last Chance (Birmingham, AL)

July 18-20: LC Southeastern Championships (Huntsville, AL. Qualifiers only)

 

Long Course Practice Schedule (6/23/25-6/29/25)

10&U LONG COURSE SWIMMERS: T-F will be 6:30-8:00am and Saturday will be 7:00-9:00am. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of practice. 

11&O LONG COURSE SWIMMERS: T-F will be 6:00-8:00am and Saturday will be 7:00-9:00am. Please arrive at 5:50am for dynamics & dryland. 

ATHLETES: PLEASE WEAR ATHLETIC SHOES. NO CROCS OR SLIDES.

 

Mini-tri info!

Hello MSA Long Course Swimmers!

Congratulations everyone on a very successful swim meet this weekend!

With just a few weeks of hard training remaining in our summer season, we're planning our third "Mini-Tri" at the "Bradford Creek Greenway" in Madison.  Your mapping device may not be able to find it, so just use these simple directions:

Beginning at the intersection of Mill Road and County Line Road, go east on Mill Road for just under 0.4 miles, then turn left (north) into the greenway parking lot.  That is where our "Mini-Tri" will be headquartered.  We will be biking and running, with the opportunity to dip in a pool if someone needs to cool off.

 

Here are the front-runners at this point in our summer mini-tri series:

For the Ladies, Savannah has 24 points, followed by Nori with 23 points.

For the Guys, Jordan has 31 points, followed by Jayden with 16 points.

 

We will meet at the usual time ... 4:30 pm ... and discuss the routine prior to blasting off for our standard 80-minute event.

Be sure to bring water or a sports drink, shoes, and a bike helmet.

Cold watermelon will be provided!
