 Arrival Times:

Please make sure to check which days and sessions your child will swim.  You may view your events on the website under Events where you signed up for the meet, Meet Mobile, and on the heat sheet posted on our website under Events.  If you have any trouble viewing this, or have any questions, please email Coach Erin at [email protected]

 Friday PM (12&U 200 IM, Open 400 IM, 12&U 500 FR, Open 1650 FR):

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to warmup beginning

  • Warmup 4:00-5:00 PM, Competition begins at 5:10 PM

  • Controlled warm-up (pace, starts) from 4:30-5:00 PM

  • Warmup is open warmups in legacy & comp pool–no assigned lanes

  • The girls will be in the 10-lane flag end pool, and the boys will be in the 8-lane window end pool

  • Event check-in is DUE BY 4:40PM. All 1650 swimmers will be checked-in by coaches, even if not present (mile swimmers typically show up a little later than the specified warm-ups and that is OK).

    • Coaches typically check everyone in. However, if an athlete is not present during the warm-up slow given to us for the 200IM, 400 IM, or 500 FR we will not check them in, assuming they will not be swimming the event. We are doing this because:

    • Failure to swim a deck seeded event after signing in may result in the swimmer being barred from swimming his/her next individual event.

  • Events 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (400IM, 12 & under 500 Free, 1650 Free) will be seeded fastest to slowest, alternating female and male heats.

  • Events 95 and 96 (13 & over 500 FR) will be seeded slow to fast.

Team Gear:

Please wear a regular suit, or knee skin/tech suit if you tapered, and goggles.  If you choose to wear a swim cap for competition, it must be a MSA swim cap.  Coaches will have additional caps available at the meet that can be billed to your account.  Let’s really do our best to look like a team by wearing our MSA team suits, caps, and apparel.

Heat Sheets:

Heatsheets will be posted to the website as I receive them and also added on Meet Mobile

Currently, HSA had a couple of events (#43,49, and 51) that were seeded in 8 lanes instead of 10.  They have reseeded those events only, and have attached the updated heat sheet.

If your swimmer wishes to have their events written on them, please do so before arriving at the pool for each session. This is a parent/guardians job.

 Additional Notes: IMPORTANT

  • If you are in an event, you are expected to compete in that event--especially finals

  • Concession stand is open and has gone cashless

  • No parents allowed on pool deck unless they are acting as a counter or timer for their swimmer (500FR, 1650FR)

  • All parking will be on-site. The small parking lot and large back parking lot are available for general parking. Additional parking is also available on the far side of the lake as well as throughout Braham Spring Park on the other side of Drake Avenue

  • Saturn Sports will be onsite for all swim apparel needs

  • Athlete locker rooms are located just off competition pool deck as well as near the instructional pool

Remember, all swimmers, parents, and coaches are representing MSA so let’s put forth an excited and friendly demeanor.  We encourage parents and friends attending the meet to sit together to help support our athletes together!

See you at the pool,

Erin McCann
