GROUP DESCRIPTIONS & PRACTICE TIMES
 

Annual Registration for All Groups - $147 ($65 Club / $82 USA Swimming)

 

 

GRAY GROUP: This practice group is designed to introduce young athletes to the sport of swimming while allowing the opportunity to participate in other activities. We emphasize teaching the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes by means of drills and games to make swimming fun. Swimmers in this group will have the opportunity to compete in some meets, particularly those hosted by McCallie/GPS Aquatics, as well as other local meets. Swimmers in this level are generally 6-9 years of age.

 

Group Fees are $90 per month. 

 

Practice times

Afternoons: Tuesday and Thursday - 6:15-7:15 pm at McCallie

SILVER GROUP: This level of McC/GPS Aquatics refines and builds upon the fundamentals introduced in the Gray Group, while introducing more advanced drills and efficiency techniques. Swimmers in this group will compete in meets mostly hosted by McC/GPS, as well as other local swim meets. They will also have the opportunity to attend some out of town meets. Swimmers in this group are generally 8-11 years of age.

 

Group Fees

$105 per month

 

Practice Times

    • Afternoons: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. at McCallie

    • Mornings:   Saturdays 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. at McCallie

BLUE GROUP: This is our most advanced age group. This group will have swimmers focusing on technique refinement, increasing conditioning, developing race strategy, and becoming goal oriented swimmers. Dryland training is a very important aspect of this group to build overall fitness. Swimmers in this group are generally 10-13 years of age.

$115 per month

 

Practice Times

    • Afternoons: Monday and Tuesday, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at McCallie

                              Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m. at McCallie

                              Friday - 5:00-6:30 p.m. at McCallie

    • Mornings:   Saturdays, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at McCallie

SENIOR GROUP: This is the championship level of the McC/GPS Aquatics program, where standards are set to maximize the potential of the athletes in this group. The highest level of competition is prepared for through the continued refinement of technique and strenuous levels of training in and out of the water. Goals for the swimmers in this group include qualifying for and participating in the United States National Championships, Olympic Trials, Sectionals, and Southeastern Championship Meets.

$135 per month

                        Tuesday 4:30-7:15 p.m. at GPS

                        Wednesday 5:20-7:20 p.m. at GPS (4:30-6:30 p.m. at GPS in Spring)

                        Friday 5:20-7:10 p.m. at GPS (4:30-6:30 p.m. at GPS in Spring)

    • Mornings:    Wednesday 7:00 - 8:45 a.m. at GPS 

                        Saturdays 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. at McCallie
