RAQ Kicks Off New Season at Freestyle Festival

With almost 40 swimmers attending, RAQ traveled down to Poway and kicked off the 2025-2026 swim season at the Freestyle Festival.  There was a lot of excitement in the morning session, where we had over 30 participants - several of whom were making their competitive swim debuts.  In the afternoon, we had a small but fast contingent competing.

Multiple swims earned SCAGC (short course Age Group Champs) qualifying times, with Andrew Homer earning his first ever cut.  Other qualifers included:  Cayson Clemens, Ean Luo, and Scarlett Skeen.  Several other swimmers had impressive races, including Aaron Boytsov, Eden Guss, Sasha Oseev, Charley Partridge, Siena Sweeney, Kai Thomas, and Dalu Wang.

Be on the lookout for our upcoming October meets - BC swimmers at Solana Beach 10/11-10/12, BB+ swimmers at LaJolla JCC 10/24-10/26.  Our November travel meet info will also be posted shortly.  There is no meet in Palm Springs this year, so we will look elsewhere.
