WELCOME TO SUMMER SMAC 2024!
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY REGARDING SUMMER SMAC.
1. IF YOU ARE A CURRENTLY ACTIVE MEMBER OF SMAC, DO NOT REGISTER FOR SUMMER SMAC. You will continue paying year-round dues during the summer. Again, DO NOT REGISTER FOR SUMMER SMAC IF YOU ARE A CURRENT/ACTIVE MEMBER OF SMAC.
2. Please note that we have detailed ALL fees below. The USA Swimming registration will be a necessary step for all new families to complete as part of registration as it encompasses insurance coverage during the season.
3. Summer SMAC information/dates:
Registration Opens Online: 4/22 @12pm
Registration Closes Online: 5/13 @12pm
Mandatory Evaluation Day: 5/18 @10am
Dates: 5/28-5/29 (optional)-Summer SMAC Intro Clinic from 6:30-7:30pm
6/3-7/24- 4:00-6:00pm depending on the group your swimmer is assigned to.
Practice Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 4-5pm or 5-6pm depending on group assignment
Ages: 5 and Up
Requirements: Must be able to perform all skills at minimum in order to join:
1. Fully submerge head underwater
2. Blow bubbles out of nose
3. Float unassisted on stomach
4. Float unassisted on back
5. Flip over from stomach to back
6. Flip over from back to stomach
Swim Meets: Summer SMAC competes in the Mountain Swim League and the swim meets are on Thursdays from June to July (Schedule posted below)
TOTAL Price: $330 (includes $260.00 fee for Summer SMAC and $70 Rec Center Membership for June/July))- If you are a member of the rec center already, YOU WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR THE $70.00 REC CENTER FEE
4. USA Swimming Registration Steps:
1. Click on this link: https://omr.usaswimming.org/omr/welcome/E91214038B9243
2. Create an account as a parent/guardian
3. Click on the link again after you have created your account
4. The second time, please register your swimmer under your account
5. All Summer SMAC swimmers should choose one of the following membership levels:
Premium: ($80) The Premium Membership is required if (1) a swimmer is 13 years old or older at the time of registration
Flex: ($30) The Flex Membership may be used if (1) a swimmer is 12 years old or younger at the time of registration .
Outreach : ($5) An Outreach Membership is for a swimmer who qualifies for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program or has a disability. If you are unsure if you qualify, please ask a coach for assistance.
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER SMAC UNTIL THIS STEP IS COMPLETED
