Coach Lovro 

Lovro was extremely successful competitive swimmer with in-depth knowledge of all the swimming techniques. He was Croatian national swimming member, competing at 2010 European Short Course Championship in Eindhoven, and 2011 FINA Swimming World Championship in Shanghai. In addition to that, he is the current national record holder for 200 LCM Breaststroke which made him eligible to compete at 2012 London Olympic Games. While at Saint Peter's University, Lovro became the first conference swimmer to compete at Division I NCAA Swimming. Throughout his career at SPU, Lovro won 9 individual MAAC titles, 5 individual ECAC titles and held multiple MAAC/ECAC/pool records around the USA.


Coach Amanda 

A New Jersey native, Amanda swam for Scarlet Aquatics, qualifying for elite meets such as the New Jersey Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Sectionals, Futures, Junior Nationals, and the TYR Pro Swim Series. She competed at the NCAA Division I level for Long Island University–Brooklyn (2018–2020), specializing in mid-distance freestyle and butterfly, and earned points at the Northeast Conference (NEC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships. Amanda graduated cum laude from Rutgers University–Newark with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology, and recently completed her Master’s degree in Higher Education College Administration and Leadership.

Amanda began her coaching career in 2020 with Scarlet Aquatics. She first joined Swim Stars Swim Team from 2021-2022, coaching both age group and senior-level swimmers. Also, in 2021-2022 she served as a coach for McNair Academic Highschool and led both the boys' and girls' teams to top-three finishes at championship as well as state qualifications. For the past 3 years, Amanda served as a Lead Coach for the Razorback Aquatic Club AquaHawgs, a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club ranked among the top 100 in the country. There, she coached swimmers from the developmental level through high-performance competition levels.

Her impact was recognized with several Coaching honors: 2024 Arkansas Age Group Coach of the Year, ASCA 30 Under 30 Grant Recipient, and 2024 Central Zone Team Coach. In 2023, she was also invited to attend the USA Swimming National Select Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Recently, this past summer 2025 she was selected to be a 13-14 Zones Coach to represent New Jersey at the Eastern LCM Zone Championship. 


Coach Ashton

Ashton was born and raised in Australia and is currently attending Saint Peter’s University pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. He's the current SPU record holder at 50 freestyle (20.52), 100 freestyle (44.63) and 100 fly (48.55). Few other most notable achievements:

As a Freshman in 2020-21: Earned six All-MEC awards at the GMAC/MEC Championships; Earned First Team All-MEC in the 200 Freestyle
As a Sophomore in 2021-22: Became the first athlete in program history to be named MEC Men's Swimmer of the Year; Earned seven All-MEC awards while at the GMAC/MEC Championships; Tabbed with First Team All-MEC honors in the 50, 100 and 200 Freestyle
As a Junior in 2022-23: Picked up five All-MEC awards at the GMAC/MEC Championships; Awarded First Team All-MEC in the 100 and 200 Freestyle.
As a Senior in 2023-24: Broke three school records at SPU (50 free, 100 free, 100fly) and was declared SPU's 'Male Athlete of the Year'.


Coach Marina

Marina began her academic journey in Ukraine, earning her first master's degree in Engineering from Krivoy Rog. She later pursued a second master's in Physical Education and Swimming Coaching at the Dnepropetrovsk Sport Institute. With a passion for coaching, she spent a decade at the 'Dolphin' swim school in Ukraine before bringing her expertise to the USA, where she coached for 26 years with the Scarlet Aquatics program. Marina also graduated from the Parisian Beauty Academy, qualifying as a skincare therapist, and has since applied her skills as a sports-focused massage therapist and skincare therapist.

In addition to her roles in beauty and wellness, Marina has served as a Physical Education teacher with the Bayonne Board of Education and played a pivotal role in the aquatic community, working as a lifeguard and running all aquatic programs in Bayonne. Her diverse background in education, coaching, and wellness reflects a lifelong commitment to improving the health and performance of those around her.


Coach Victor

Coach Victor Fuentes was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He transferred to SPU from Saint Francis College in Brooklynn. He is currently attending Saint Peter’s University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management and is a top scorer within the Saint Peter’s men’s swimming.


Coach Mark

Born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey, Coach Mark began his swimming journey with the Stevens Sharks, where he developed a strong foundation in competitive swimming. He went on to swim for Saint Peter’s Preparatory School, where he now serves as a Coach, before continuing his athletic career at the University of Delaware. There, he specialized in sprint and mid-distance freestyle events and was recognized with the Most Improved Swimmer Award during his freshman year for his dedication and growth in the program.

With deep local roots and a lifelong passion for the sport, Mark brings a combination of technical expertise, motivation, and team spirit to every practice and competition.
