Pre-Employment Screening   Clubs are responsible for hiring and supervising their own coaches and staff, and managing their own volunteers. USA Swimming does not hire, supervise, or manage a club’s employment relationship with its coaches, staff, or volunteers, as that is an independent responsibility of the club. As most of you know, USA Swimming now has a requirement as of September 1, 2013 that all meets be attended by an Administrative Official who is responsible for assuring  times submitted into the SWIMS database are accurate and official.  All LSC's have been scrambling to get this education and certification process in place, and we're no different in FL. The following attached list of USA-S Coach Certification Courses will go into effect on September 1, 2013.      1.  All references to first aid have been removed and first-aid-only courses have been removed.  First Aid is no longer a required course.     2.  The APT-Athlete Protection Training requirement will be an annual certification.     3.  The section on STFSC-Safety Training for Swim Coaches has been updated.   USA-S Coach Certification Courses
