Travel information regarding the Florida Zone Team competing at the SZ Age Group Championships is posted on the Event Page.

All, As we approach Championship season, please consider making a request of your meet hosts to include this Safe Sport information in the heat sheets that we sell to parents. We have formatted the flier to ¼ and ½ page format with the intent that hosts could find blank space in the heat sheet and fill it with the flier – saving cost.   The Florida Zone Team Rosters are now available on the Zone Team Page. The remaining rosters spots will be filled at FLAGS. The Southern Zone Age Group Championships is being held in Greenville, SC on July 30 to August 4, 2013.

FLAGS parking and tent information at the University of Florida has been posted on the Event Page.

The NON-conforming time listed in the Sectionals Meet Announcement is 24.49. FGC has the time listed as a 25.49.  The qualifying standard has been changed to match the time posted at FGC. Corrections have been made in OME.

The FL office will be closed on July 4 & 5. The FL office will be on part time hours 8:30 to 1:00 on July 1, 12, 17-19, 24-26.

Florida Swimming will present two $1,000.00 awards to one male and one female Florida Swimming/USA Swimming athlete member, in 2013. If you know of a student/athlete  member you believe deserves and meets the criteria please have them fill out the enclosed  form and return it by Monday, July 15, 2013. Longtime legendary New Orleans swim coach Dick Bower, a former  Tulane head swim coach, died on Sunday after complications from a recent stroke. Bower, 83, coached the Green Wave in the 1970s, leaving the university in 1979 to set up a local club program, the New Orleans Bolts. The Bolts won 38 Louisiana state swimming championships.     Bower, who died in Houston, spent most of his career lecturing, coaching, and performing swim clinics all over the country. Dear Coaches & Administrators,   Please remember that the application for exemption to the 120 Day Rule for 2013 LCM FLAG participation is due this Wednesday, June 26. In order to accommodate swimmers who transfer into the Florida LSC within the 120 day window, transfer swimmers may apply for an exemption of the 120 day rule provided they petition the Eligibility Committee (defined in this situation as the Age Group Committee plus the Head Meet Referee for FLAGS) and provide proof of permanent residence within LSC boundaries by the athlete...
